LOOKY WHAT I MADE!

Not entirely accurate quite yet, but at least now that I know what I am doing and know what to expect when firing I can make more accurate ones in the future. The next one I do will have the cracks in it, turns out to do them properly I'll have to do them before its fired the last time, anyway enjoy!

Yes, thank you for posting that. I very rarely check my deviant art and would have missed it. Just submitted.
(BTW, I think I remember you from the hype, no?)

Yeah, I was over on the Hype in the Joker costume thread. Found myself a new obsession. Makes me wonder why I always like portraying crazy characters. I'll probably put in a submission towards the end of the month. I have to get my hands on a few more essentials before taking more photos.

Also, thanks for the reference photos of the leather scissor holder. I actually found myself a pair of antique scissors in a free box at a garage sale yesterday. Now I just need five more!

Went to the mall today and while I was looking around Hot Topic I happened to notice that they carry the Red Queen's tights and Alice's fingerless gloves...

http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/Ac...t-Spades-Heart-Checker-Thigh-Highs-174371.jsp

I can't find the gloves on the website, but they were in the store hanging on the wall with all the other gloves. I think those were selling for $9.99 but not 100% positive. The tights are hanging with all the other tights as well. Just thought I'd throw the info out there.

Finally,
I know ive been away for awhile.but eversince the
battle gear was on
display at the
el Capitan i had a new undertaking.
I'm very happy with the way it came out!!
i wish the pix could show the Fox buttons but i'll post pix of those
later.both the fox and what i'm calling the basket weave buttons came out awesome!!
going to dress up and go to the ren faire again today so maybe i'll get some grandios pix.
enjoy my HATTER BRETHREN!!

HA! That's frakkin' awesome Richard! :D

The blue coat is absoutly my favorite coat in the movie, I love it. :D

Impeccable!!!! I can never lurk and not comment any pics you post, Acme.

Your hat is to absolutely die for. The photos show it so well and the detail is astounding. It's SO clean and so precise! The hatpins look incredible, too. They're all just the right size!

The first go around of photos you posted were great, but these ones look even phenomenal overall. Even with the brown coat...did you change something with the wig or makeup? It just looks impossibly better than before.

And major kudos for being the only other Hatter I've seen to paint your nails yellow! It's such an apparent detail that I've seen so many overlook. It's a lovely finishing touch.

...but where are your sock topper tassels? :D

Again, you're such an inspiration! Your work is so fantastic and enjoyable to view! I wish I could see it in person. *_* Congratulations on such a flawlessly beautiful feat! ( I really don't think I can praise enough for how well I think that turned out. Gah... )

There's a reason why Richard is the man!! Just make sure you keep Casa De ACME locked tight...or a certain pirate may pillage your costume! :love

Ah Richard, you've brilliantly nailed it yet again! Kudos to your amazing display of the Hatter. I'm only sorry I missed it but I wasn't able to get out of work this weekend. Of course there's one more weekend for the fair right? *Hint Hint* Hope to see you and Jants and everyone on Saturday mate. I own a few Acme products and they are definitely second to none. Well done Richard!

Thanx everyone for the nice
compliments!
Aelynn..
i know i know i need to get the tassels done!!!
honestly i still need to put the buttons on the sleeves
and finish the back of the coat with the burnt silk as well.
next up will be making a claymore sword.the one used in the pix was borrowed
fron a local ren faire participant. He felt i was Worthy of using his pride and joy
for pix.which was a huge compliment to me and i thank him for that.

yup,
the makeup is still a work in progress but it is getting there
i use the airbrush and have tried a new method it
seems to blend everything much more betta.
should be getting my new samhein hatter contacts
before next week that will help with the look as well.

yada yada yada,
the march hares house still
needs material on the windmills.
always something to do....

Wow! That blue coat is stunning!!

Dang it! I wish I had people around me with these costumes so I could get some shots with my Alice armor!!

Those ACME Brand Mad Hatter hat pins are like aliens.

We know they exist but we just can't find them!!!:lol

Looking good mate!!!!

OI Chuck,

the hat pins and battle gear lapel pin will reveal themselves but not
till we get closer to Halloween. as i dont want those Singapore
abductors recasting my work as in the past (sparrow rings).
all my stuff is created in the Highland park Acme lab and
produced thru companies in the greater Los angeles area.
MADE IN THE USA BABY!!!
