Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes

Chad they always do!

That Hatter is a little frightening looking........not that I am gorgeous myself.......but still I can't tell if that is a latex mask or just the makeup.

I am a little "sullied and unusual" right now......!

looking good so far!!! But it looks REALLY long. o.o Of course, that may just be because it's in progress? :) Better to start off longer than make it too short to begin with ( like I did with Travis' Halloween version ) Or maybe it's just the angle?

no the pattern is long, so yeah im starting long then ill shorten it once the tails are on

i just didn't want to make the pattern too small cause theres no way to fix that once its cut out, so im making it longer and ill shorten before the lining is attached

I wonder if you got the same pattern that I did! It actually kinda looks like it might be. Mine was really long too...Simplicity? That's supposed to be some crypt guy and double for a Wonka coat pattern? :lol That's the one I used...sort of. I never really use patterns properly even if I do cut them out. :S

yeah i did use that one, only traced the pattern to pattern paper and i modified it so all the seams would match the actual costume, and i extended and cut the back tails so id have the proper frock and the coat seams in the back as well, and im using a cuff pattern i drafted for my Park Hatter coat.

That's exactly why I don't bother with patterns 99% of the time, I always end up doing really heavy mods and I'm too lazy to draft them so I just cut it out on a whim. It pretty much always works out so I don't see the point otherwise...well...I guess it would be a little more safe and probably less time consuming. I'm a seam-freak. XD

Happy! Sad! Happy! Sad! Happy! Half sad! Half happy! Sad! Happy!

That is the "play by play" of said viddie! Great job Chad!

Now when do we get the How To Guide!? :confused

I would love to do this to my necktie but I don't want to mod the thingie. I might have to make one just to add the motorized "feeling" device!:love
