As Far as personalizing things goes, I'm adding a Raven to the inside of one of my boots, to incorporate the Hatter's famous riddle. That and it just looks cool!

Oooooh...love it!!! I wish I could scratch up Travis' boots but he likes them too much to destroy them. They're not screen-accurate but they are pretty Hatterific.
The tongue is a bit short but I'm making a sleeve to put on it and fold over, and they look great with red laces. The slight formality of them looks fabulous with the pseudo-suit of the Hatter. And he says they're super comfortable...but if anyone likes them, know that they run REALLY large. His are printed as a 9 and he's usually a 10 and they're almost a size too big. o_o
Not bad for about $50, plus, they're red on the inside! And have a flower print on the sole which is completely irrelevant but Wonderland-esque nonetheless.
oh...and...ITS WEDNESDAY! ITS WEDNESDAY!!! I can't sleep...I feel like it's Christmas Eve!!!

The screen caps I posted are from random alice in wonderland clips as seen on the disney channel, like the short Depp interview. There was another one of the Hatter sitting in a chair I just can't seem to find it now. With all the new TV spots just around the corner and the big superbowl reveal I'm sure we will all get to experience a whole lot more eye candy very soon!

If you guys don't mind me asking, what are most of you using for the PIN part of the hat pins. I am going to get a few beads and gems as well as sculpt a couple of my own, but what would you recommend for the pin? Thanks!!

@ darthveach - You can find actual hat pin blanks with little stoppers on the sharp end in the jewelry section of Joann Crafts They have them in 5" and 7" sizes. Come in packs of 3.

AAaaaaaaaand she's done! With the exception of the arm bandage.
I think I made the flower a little too clean though. :S I'll probably end up making one that looks intentionally more ghetto to pin on before opening day.
NOW! *rubs hands together* Time to re-make that Hatter outfit! I'm sure by the time I'm done pinstriping the vest, my posts here will rarely make any sense due to lack of sanity.

Wow aelynn great job on that dress I can tell a lot of work went into it!

I may wait until after I have seen the movie to do it, but I have pretty much decided to make my whole costume in 2 shades, as thought it is midway between changing color......

Soulinertia, Thank you!!! It was pretty simple for the base of it but sewing all of the handmade ribbon on was a major pain. >_< it's a bit ripply and fray-ey near the side zipper but no one can see that ... >_>
Chad, that's such a neat idea!! Maybe doing splotches of another colour on the brown coat?
Is anyone here doing the blue shirt/grey coat version? Or is everyone going pink shirt/brown coat? Now that I think of it, I almost wish I went b/g just for something different... I kinda like the combo too...a bit more manly. LOL
That made me think...how hilarious would it be to see someone make this costume with a chameleon leather or hypercolour fabric? XD Too bad the chameleon is more brown and green and hypercolours turn white...someone needs to make a brown/grey combo!!!

i plan that if i can find more of the stuff that im sing for my coat ill do like all of them just so i have like a selection
and i kind of have to do the blue one cause i have a Kilt coming my way
