Tiger & Bunny Suit (armored ver. WIP)

You are very welcome :) And welcome to the thread. This thread isn't dead, people are just busy sometimes, especially with summer ending soon. I come on here every now and then to see if there are any new posts, but I usually only post when I have something to update on.
Let me know if you need any help with the armor. A few of the pieces (like the torso) are blow a little out of proportion and the rest of the armor is scaled to my height, which I am about 6 ft. PM me if you need help resizing things or if you have any other questions. Happy Building :D

*Bows* Thank you very much! ^_^
I'll probably bother you in the next few months about Wild Tiger then XD I'm a 5'4" girl so I'll probably need to size it down quite a bit. I made the helmet and wore it to Aki-con. It fits perfectly, thank you again!

I actually have 2 questions.
The file for the Barnaby helmet you unfolded isn't working. Is there any chance you could post it again, or send it to me please?
And since there seems to be quite a few people working on a Barnaby suit, does anyone have any suggestions as to what the best materials to use are? We have a full Tiger & Bunny group for Sakura-con, my friend and I are making/helping make 6 of them and I'm starting to hit panic mode :eek

Have you guys seen this? Irsyad's Way: FULL SCALE WORKS 1/1 Scale "Wild Tiger" Head/Helmet
I almost pre-ordered it, then remembered my wallet would beat me up if i did. There's a matching Barnaby one coming out for pre-order in a few months.

Everyone on here is awesome! Just thought you guys should know :3

Welcome to the thread! Always great to see more Tiger & Bunny Cosplayers!
First, here's the link to Bunny's Helmet: Bunny_helmet (CrimsonAether).pdo
Second: I'm going to be making my Bunny armor and remake Tiger's armor in foam and vinyl. I'm not sure how yet, but I decided that's what I'm using.

About those life size helmets: I say, don't waste your money on those. You have everything you already need to make you own helmets, plus you'll feel much more proud of yourself after it's done.

I suggest waiting till other people have received their orders of those replica helmets to check the quality. No idea if you can see out of them though, or what the sizes are.

Thank you for sharing the helmet! That's going to be extremely helpful for my friends cosplay.
I'll keep those options in mind for the Barnaby suit, thanks! ^^

I think it's supposed to be more of a collectors item and something you display and not actually wear, although you can in fact wear them.
It will probably sell out very fast. Tiger & Bunny merchandise it's usually kinda like, you pre-order it, or you don't get it. I wasn't really suggesting anyone get it and use it for a cosplay, more that it was cool that they made something like this.

Wow. Awesome props right there :D

Although I'm new here, I've been building my own costume. I'm actually working on Origami Cyclone but I had to stop because of school and work.

I'll try to post my W.I.P tonight :D

Hey guys, i finished my Wild Tiger Suit a few weeks ago. I am currently working on Barnaby´s Darkness Suit.

Nice Job! Looks like it's coming together very nicely. I don't know how many east coast people we have here, but I hope the hurricane didn't ruin anybody's homes and I hope everyone's doing well.

I hope everyone had relaxing day eating food with family or friends; Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Hello I need to get back to work I have been too lazy to get the plastic for the vacuum former im not quit shore what to get I did find that high impact polystyrene was cheep and high quality for what im using it for. any other suggestions. How is the progress for everyone?

Hi guys i am try to decide how i want to assemble this helmet I rely don't know how i want to do this. im almost dun with the painting and now i don,t know how to put the face shield mask part on the top part of the helmet so it slides up in to the top part of the helmet when it opens. should be on a track should i hook up a sim motor? I AM SOOOOO CONFUSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! help !!!:cry

I think you'll have to take a look at how some of the Iron Man helmet makers do their sliding face masks for some inspiration for that! They use some sort of hinge system that lets the faceplate slide up.

On another note, hope everyone has a good Christmas this year! :D

Ahaha yeah I was hoping you would figure it out first! XD I still am pretty clueless on what to do about that since I have zero experience with that kind of stuff. I've been told my more than one person to do what Dei suggested - look at what Iron Man suit builders are doing and see if anything will work. I've seen a lot of different methods, so surely there is something out there we can use!

Your progress is looking great though! I can't wait to see what it looks like all painted, even though it's not assembled yet. :D
By the way, I'm not dead, I just haven't made any progress on costume things aside from a thrifty Pippin costume for The Hobbit, haha. Still job hunting, argh! I still check here for people's progress though. :)

Ya im getting there with the helmet soooooo close to finishing the paint job and still pondering how to go about the construction. I think I have an idea I will need to see how it works out. tell you latter about it. If it works.

@(Starlit Rose) have you finished moving? if so, hows Texas ?:)

Good luck! :D

Aside from the job thing, it's been great! It's very different, yet it's not. I've already met a lot of fun people (many of whom are cosplayers). Right now, I'm actually putting together a thrifty costume with a friend for The Hobbit this Thursday. :)

We actually broke down and bought some ink for our printer, so if I can get my hands on some cardstock, I MIGHT actually possibly maybe perhaps be able to start on my helmet sometime soonish?

How's everyone coming along with their costumes? Hope you've all had a great new year! Will be bringing out Sky High for another con next month, gotta do a lot of cleanups and maintenance on his shoes.
