Tiger & Bunny Suit (armored ver. WIP)

I was just about to recommend the models you build by Bandi. I have the wild tiger one. They are cool. Plus they force you to really learn the costume/character because you build each part of the costume and really learn how it works. I just want the Bunny one to come out.

They are pretty cool! What really makes me want them is the open face feature. I just love the open faces. I've only seen photos of the ones you build - how is the quality of the parts? One thing I really like about the Figuarts is the quality. They're really heavy for such small figures. But dat open face of the build-a-Tiger! I kind of like the proportions of build-a-Tiger too.

Has the build-a-Barnaby not come out yet? I thought it was out. Maybe not.

Also have you seen the SH Figuarts came out with the bikes for T&B they are pretty cool also!

Don't remind me!! TAT I'm so afraid to find out how much the bikes are going to cost, lol. The bikes are a big reason I'd want to get the Figuarts Tiger over the build-a-Tiger. If they came out with bikes for the Perfect Series figures though that's GAME OVER seriously.

sorry for slow response
i love the action figures but i have blown so much money on other stuff i cant even afford the 44 dollars ones (sad face, soo poor) but as for the Bikes go i built a motorcycle out of my garage i was wondering if i can fabricate parts and get LED lights and make it look like Barnaby's bike. but i cant bring it to Boston (not truly street legal but awesome nun the less).

The models are really nice. They aren't heavy like the action figures because its model plastic. HOwever they are really sturdy and not cheap. Plus they are super detailed because its like 10 pieces to make the head. The Build Barnaby has not come out yet. I think it is coming out this fall.

The display and on amazon it appears the bikes are going to cost a little over $100. I know I'm going to have to get one.

WOW those things are expensive do you think i should get one or use my money on the build materials i do have a set budget that i hope to stay under. they are really detailed and i guess that would help with the sculpting and painting of all my peaces but i don't know if it is a worthy investment? :confused:confused

I personally always buy the toy for any costume i do just because it helps get a good static view of it in 3D. Since in the show artist can get away with pieces not making sense in the 3D world. Plus if you are a fan of the show its a kick ass collectors item to have and play with.

@barnaby brooks- Woohoo, exciting progress! :D

Yeah, the figures are expensive, but so worth it! They are very good quality. You really don't NEED one for reference, they are just awesome to have around. :) They're obviously convenient as endo500 said, but considering you're working with pepakura (the shapes are already formed for you! you just have to put it all together), and considering there are tons of 2-D references out there, there's no need to drop money on a figure. Just do it when you can afford it and want to collect them. :D

@endo500 - Thanks for the details on the build-a-Tiger. I had no idea there are 10 pieces to the head alone! Insane. I think I would pull my hair out trying to assemble one, but my boyfriend does love to build Gundam models...maybe I'll make him do it. ;D It would be really neat to take time examining each and every little piece though. Too bad Barnaby's isn't out yet!

I guess i can get one latter.

@endo500 has your mother decided to be anyone yet or is she still thinking?:)

@Starlit Rose hows the moving going you still excited? I want to see the progress in pepakura but I know your probably to busy to work on it.:)

Thanks for asking! Uggghh it's getting down to the wire now. Trying hard to sell all of our stuff and packing everything else in the meantime. Then when everything's sold and shipped off, we can finally clean the place and get out of here. We'd like to be on the road this weekend. We'll see what happens. So ready for this to be over!

Have you made any headway on your helmet? :)

@azze: Welcome to the thread! Very nice work with Wild Tiger! That's pretty awesome that you're building Darkness Bunny. Please keep us updated with your progress!

@azze welcome; I am always happy to see a new person in the thread.:)

@starlit; for your question some not much I'm am trying to let my friend do some more work with his helmet and let catch up to where I am. I am also trying to get on the vacuum molding set up.

@azze: Nice Job! I'm happy to see another finished version of my designs. I'm really curious to see all the finished versions of my designs. I have over 300 downloads and I know there are always slight variations to each costume, even though each design is the same.

Hey guys, Sorry to say this, but I won't be able to get the Bunny pieces unfolded by November. I'm starting to get kinda busy with School and work, and I'm gonna have to put the Unfolding on hold for now. Sorry guys :(

That's fine Crimson.

@azze that is such a cool costume I love the lights. It looks like you should be in the anime LOL:lol

@starlit Those motorcycles LOOK AMAZZZING. How cool is that. Do you know if they work if so I'm going to haft to go there and get a test drive LOL.

Nuuuuuuuuuuu well we understand! We appreciate you even doing it at all. We can wait for you to get caught up on real life. :)

Haha I WISH they were functional! I highly doubt they even roll. The wheels do not look like tires of any kind. Regardless, it is totally badass. I wish I could see it in person.

Ya there pretty sweet I once tried to do something smiler with the whole spockless approach with a normal bike. but i don't have a psg milling machine. I wish I could build one of those in pepakura ,right:lol.

If I ever do get around to building a Double Chaser, I'm probably gonna be using one of those mobility scooters that older people use as a base for the outer frame. Strip the chassis down, and rebuild it from scratch using fibreglass and stuff :p

Hmmmmm that would be cool as hell. I hope that you will be able to build it, I would love to see your progress.:thumbsup how are things going for everyone hope the hurricane did not ruin anyone's house or anything like that.
