Hi!
I'm trying to find some good reference pics of Thulsa Doom's dagger and belt from the very first time we see it. I mean the daggers he wears when met Conan and his mother.

All the help with this armor in general will be apreciated (helmet, chest plate, shoulders, bracelets, boots...)

Any one knows where this suit is?

Also, good pics and measurements of the snakes standard are needed.

Thank you all!!!!!!!!

I've never really seen much good reference for a lot of the costumes in this movie. I do have an HD rip of the film though, so I made some screencaps that showcased that particular armor (& daggers), as well as the Cult of Set "standard". Hope this helps:

Does anyone see a striking resemblance between James Earl Jones and Oprah Winfrey (without makeup, of course) in those photos?

Phil

Thanks!! those pics will be very useful!! it's very difficult to find any pics of screen used pieces, anyone has a helmet or the daggers, but they are very very COOL.

thank you nexus6!!!

nothing about the boots?

maybe this post needs to be in the costuming forum isn't it?
They never really show a great shot of his boots during the film (from what I've been able to find), but they look to be the same kind of "generic" boot that you see Conan wearing (except dyed dark gray or black), with black fur covering the top (from top of the calf, & down to the ankle area). Anyway, here's a production still & some of the best scenes I could find in the film:

FYI, keep clicking the pictures at imageshack until you get the highest resolution.

Thank you all!

I don't know why those suits were forgotten, they are really cool. I think the art direction is one of the keys of the great success the film had. And Arnie, of course :D

I wonder if Ron Cobb has done anything in a while. He was on fire there for a long time doing Star Wars (cantina aliens), Alien, Back to the Future, Raiders of the lost Ark, The Abyss, Total Recall, and so much of my favorite concept art in many of my favorite movies, for a long time. I have lost touch in what he has been up to.
