Great, just when I'm trying to start saving money again. X( I'll have to budget some things. Will be closely following the thread!

It's a shame the wings are going to be separate. It looks like there is a bar in the back that connects them, which is how they articulate simultaneously. (You can briefly see it in the trailer as he puts the helmet on, and in the posters.) I think Do3D updated their file to include that, but I'm not sure how long ago they did that, so I am not sure if Rocketeer was working with that model. Personally, I'm not a stickler on that level of accuracy and will be thrilled to simply have this awesome helmet, but I figured I would point it out. Can't wait to see pics of the print!

I noticed it looks like there's a bar there. Do you have some good reference images? Might be something we can add in

Manhattan posted all the references that I've seen (the still from the trailer and the poster). Not really enough to make a 100% accurate replica, but then again the bar doesn't look that complicated so it might be able to be constructed and still be close to the actual thing.

So I've watched the trailer now about 1000 times, lol and I'm positive there were multiple helmets used - the one with the bar across that allows the wings to move in unison, and another helmet where the wings are likely static and don't move. I did my best to take a few screenshots where the bar is nowhere to be seen - especially when he is leaping up to attack Hulk and you can see the back of the helmet.

So, would people be ok with the helmet being designed with wings that can be permanently attached (still cast separate from the main helmet) but also include a separate bar that you can attach on your own to allow the wings to move in unison if you wanted that option?

I'd be up for that option! Sounds like the best way to achieve both accurate form and function, and the purchaser can decide which way they want to go.

For me I really love the novelty of the wings being movable in unison, either way I'm stoked for this helm! :)
