Thor Movie Reviews

I'm so annoyed my theater is only getting it in 3D. Post conversion 3D is never good. Now I will probably be waiting until DVD to watch it. :(

I saw this at the weekend here too. Really enjoyed it. I don't know much about Thor from the comics, but this kept me entertained from the get-go. I didn't stay until the end of the credits though! Grrrrrrr! First time in a long time that I didn't. Please could someone PM me and let me know what happens so I can decide if it's worth catching at the cinema again? Thanks!

Well, didn't get to see it last night, the friend with the vouchers couldn't be there until half an hour before the showing and it was already sold out. Of course it was first come, first served and overbooked. He didn't quite grasp that until I pointed out the fine print. Bummer.

I thought it was great. It left me wanting more and I can't wait to see what Joss does with Avengers. I was never a fan of the comics, and was really skeptical that this would be really campy and childish given that he is a god. They did a great job fitting him into our world and no one has mentioned this but Natalie Portman was great and overshadowed the other women with her beauty by far.

It sucks that Thor 3D isn't playing at the "real" IMAX theater near me (Fast Five has that honor :cry). I suppose I'll have to see it in normalvision 3D. :thumbsdown

Going to see it on Friday. Definitely not paying the extra for 3-D though with it being converted after filming

Yeah I definitely want to check it out more after seeing a extended trailer in theaters when I saw Fast5(Dylan Dog only plays 45 minutes away), good to see that it's getting a lot of positive word of mouth, Summer Movie Season is officially here!

Just got back from the show, and it was awesome. Big Thor fan so I was very pleased with how it was executed. I just wish they made volstagg uncomfortably fat like he is in the comics, not just giving ray stevenson a beer belly.

Just got back, and I really enjoyed it. I'm not super familiar with the Thor comics, but there were still plenty of nods I got.

Has Kenneth Branagh always liked dutch angles that much though? It was pulling me out of the movie a bit.
