The Wolverine (Post-release)

Honestly, I ranked it to be the second best (behind first class, before X2)

Before the post credits scene.

That was without a doubt the best post credits scene ever, sure it was cool to see thanos in the avengers but there they were, Ian and patrick after 7 long years, neither of them looking a day older than the last time they were in Xmen The last stand. The group I was at the premiere with cheered so much that we drpwned out the hecklers behind us. Seriously, I would be willing to pay the $10.50 just to see that scene again.

On a side note, the one thing that kept me from totally loving this film were the bone claws, whenever I saw them all I could think of was Origins.

Back from the theatre, and I liked it very much, solid wolverine flick. I heard the theatre is somewhat censored, and there will be an uncesored version on the blu-ray, is that true ? There was blood in the version I saw, but not that much...
Was wondering what they would do about his claws, but apparently 2 years later he still has bone claws, he's not going to fight sentinels without adamantium claws, is he ?

Maybe Magneto will give him his metal claws back.

I enjoyed the movie, as a life long Wolvie fan... I understand they arent going to keep everything like the comics.

I didnt understand why Harada was Mariko's love interest instead of what was it, half-sibling? And the Silver Samurai thing they did was kind of Iron Man 3 Mandarin like. Though they never really called the big samurai suit the silver samurai... they kind of hinted that Harada was by saying the suit at the funeral was the silver samurai that watches over the clan then cut to Harada watching over the clan. *shrug*

I havent read stuff from this age of Wolverine in a long time so I was mixing in lore of the Marasama blade in my head when I went into this so I was really hoping that was the sword he was trying to give him, and she Yukio was talking about it I thought certainly it was but it was never really confirmed or brought up again. So I'm not sure if they were just kind of wanting me to think that or what..

I missed a lot of early dialog and action of the middle, because some lousy kid was talking insanely loud asking questions and his father encouraging it. we ended up switching from 2d to Regal Premiere Experience 3d and it was the best 3d i've seen so far... so when i go back to try this again, it will be in the RPX 3d.

Didn't hate it. After the Origins crapfest, I enjoyed this. I dont feel any comic movie so far has really been perfect anyway, they always do something to it weird. So I put it up there in the middle, way above Origins and X:III, maybe a bit above the first 2 X-men films, well below Iron Man 1 and Avengers.

So....Logan's bodyguard friend....with the red hair.....is she supposed to be Psylocke? I don't know too much about the character, but Psylocke is a psychic ninja, right?

I doubt that was her, but with an x-force movie in the works, I thought it was a possibility.

I liked it a lot until the last little bit where they decided to give up and just go full blown CGI "comic book." Bit of a let down to an otherwise very cool and thoughtful action movie. (BTW, when did Wolverine get his memory back?)

I thought it was ok. I didn't hate it but I wasn't blown away by it. I guess my one word review would be "meh". But I'm super stoked for Days of Future Past now!

I really enjoyed the film, I thought Jackman did a great job portraying Logan, as opposed to his performance in Origins, which was a bit 'meh' The action was solid and although I didn't really dig the massive CGI Silver Samurai I thought it was a decent ending, the post credits scene was amazing, serious goosebumps from seeing Professor X and Magneto back on the big screen, and a nice bit of obvious tension between the 2 as well, I also think Magneto will restore Logan's Adamantium claws.

We saw it last night and I enjoyed it very much. There were a few plot holes, of course, but I thought it was pretty solid generally speaking. There was a lot more humor in this one than the last one, which was welcome, but it felt pretty organic and not shoehorned in.

I was never a particular fan of Yukio in the comics, but I like what they did with her in the movie; she was interesting and she and Logan wound up having a relationship that, to me, felt very reminiscent of his relationship with Kitty in the books. Mariko was beautiful and well-cast as well.

I felt that Harada was, frankly, kind of wasted in the film and the Viper was gorgeous, but I found myself fixating on her mole after a little bit because it seriously skeeved me out.

Now to the mid-credits scene... yes, Xavier and Mags were there, but did anyone else spot the OTHER mutant in there?! :D

So how did the make him mortal??

He was not made mortal perse. His powers were temporarily suppressed which slowed down his healing factor significantly. He definitely takes some massive damage no mortal would have survived.

I know it's just the movies but in the comics Logan couldn't get drunk or be poisoned because of his healing factor. Also his hands should be bleeding from his claws and he should be poisoned from the adamantium when his healing factor was suppressed. These are by no means important, just observations from a comic nerd.
