Hello!
Although I have never made a costume piece/prop before, I felt like trying after watching the WS again earlier. I'm not sure what to say here, except that I probably need more muscles for this. My arms are much too skinny. I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing, so any tips will be welcomed.
I'm trying to follow these two tutorials:
http://www.therpf.com/f78/winter-soldier-arm-build-tutorial-213380/?highlight=winter+soldier+arm
and
http://cryptomancy.tumblr.com/post/84886203017/how-to-make-a-winter-soldier-arm-or-whatever
so I could maybe make some sort of hybrid? Not sure yet.
So first, I wrapped my arm in plastic wrap and an odd combination of duct tape. I ran out of the first roll, since my first attempt messed up.
I shoved some newspaper in there to keep it round. Currently looks a bit like a really long bendy carrot. Or maybe a thicker noodle?
It was still a bit floopy and wouldn't stay, so I tried covering it in a layer of paper mache. Only have one on right now, probably will put about three coats.

That's really all I have done at the moment, didn't to rush too much and mess something up.
So yeah, any tips and the like would be very useful. Not sure if I'll do the rest of the costume, since I started this for fun. Might wait until I finish this to see if I'm crafty enough to make an entire costume.
