So far…what…two or three tricorders have been received by members on this thread….is anyone willing to see if the micro sd card slot can go active? Perhaps insert a card with an audio file mp3 or wav….or a vid file mp4? Or image jpg, png? Just to see if anything at all happens?

If not, I’ll wait for mine.

In recent news…..

“Goods from China and Hong Kong shipped via UPS, DHL and FedEx are subject to a baseline 145% tariff, plus any additional product-specific tariffs. Goods shipped through USPS will be subject to a baseline 120% tariff or a flat $100 fee per postal item. Come June 1, the flat fee will increase to $200.”

It’s off to the races on the next batch buy when released for sales….those in the U.S. will want to try and beat the June 1st increase…..which is salt in the wounds.

...so, which? Whichever is greater? Lesser?

Here’s a non partisan non political link as to how the tariffs will work as presently being implemented. The answer to your question may lie there…..otherwise I don’t have an answer for you.

Tariffs Implementation

As I read the mumbojumbo …. It speaks to shipments coming directly from China and Hong Kong to the U.S. directly ……….not via other countries.

Your interpretation may be different.

It’s an eyesore to read…but good luck.

That's for items coming through international mail, but to answer your question anyway:

Pursuant to Executive Order 14256, as amended by Executive Orders 14259 and 14266, all postal items containing goods described in Section 2(a) of Executive Order 14195 and sent to the United States through the international postal network from the PRC or Hong Kong and transported by carriers, which are valued at or under $800 and would otherwise qualify for the de minimis exemption, shall be subject to one of the following two duty rates as elected by the carrier

So it's the postal carrier's choice. Why? I dunno.

At 23:23pm before 12:01am May 2…..there was a second entry stating “customs cleared”. Nothing new this rise and shine morning of May 2nd….

And then there’s this from the original carrier Asendia assigned by Amazon U.K. …. ‘Out Customs Authorities’ Which also is another way of saying ‘customs cleared’….

Btw…Amazon U.K. Has always had from when I shortly made the order…May 6 Tuesday as the projected delivery date….I’m assuming it’s still on track with or without the tariffs.

The worst part about waiting IS waiting…..meanwhile I’ve been binging on Star Trek Brave New Worlds…finished season 1…..ehhhh….on to season 2 binge.
