The Wand Company TOS Tricorder is coming!

I thought I registered interest on the first day, heard nothing yet. Looked forward to getting this along with Factory Entertainment Phasers. A bit of a disappointment if I don't get it, but prop funds will go other Star Trek props if that's the case. Just a waiting game, been doing it for a long time already, patience is a virtue. A phaser in hand is a blast though.

Nine months from now is another story. Today, there are more $350 tricorders coming and the tariffs won't hit for another eight days. So paying $1,000 today (don't forget the $100 shipping) is stupid money.

I am really excited for this to finally start shipping. I can't remember ever waiting this long for a product and being so excited throughout the whole journey. I DO have one question, that may be the dumbest of them all, and I apologize PROFUSELY in advance if anyone has answered it. I watched the demo videos when they first came out and LOVED all the stuff that the tricorder can do, including making it screen accruate with the GREY setting and the manual control over the moire pattern. One thing I haven't seen, and maybe I'm just an idiot (this is a distinct possibility) is, does the tricorder have a mode where it makes the traditional scanning sound? I don't remember seeing it, and it didn't occur to me until I realized that I didn't remember seeing it. I also couldn't find mention of it in the instructions, though again-- idiot. Just curious if anyone here knows the answer (not that this is a make-or-break thing for me).

Yes, two modes in fact.

In Radiation Mode, when you can scan EM radiation from wall sockets and such, it uses the scanning sound. Also, in Prop mode, where it has the gray screen and different lamp modes (including blue), you can turn the scanning sound on and off.

Inching their way through the system…..

What they’ve done also is to separate my qty 2 combined shipping with a single tracking track…..to two separate tracking tracks. For all intents and purposes I’m only showing one of the two separate tracking progression’s (they are both the same at the same point progressing through). Given the length of the tracks progression….I’m thinking they should be dispatched in about two days. I hope my Greek makes some sense….
