The Wand Company TOS Tricorder is coming!

Do other merchants or vendors have these issues with Amazon? I’ve never seen anything like it. Do they have some kind of vendetta against The Wand Company? It almost seems like, regardless of the tariff situation, they’ve been throttling this process from the start. Just unreal

It would be so great to get these two screens added to the TWC tricorder. They could just be added to the "prop" menu, cycling through the different options.

I’m not to sure about using the screening of the dvd Enhanced release version……not only is the resolution bad…the audio is suspect..

I got in on the July 02 Amazon orders. Received notice today, July 15, that it has shipped and I should expect it on Monday, July 21. It's going from Fresno, California to Pennsylvania, so the regional hub idea doesn't seem to be in play.
Mine is coming from Kentucky, so at least they tried. ;)

That’s funny because in Plato’s Stepchildren earlier on in the episode……a closeup of McCoy’s Tricorder on the table….you’ll notice that the Tricorder has the L type pull handles on the compartments (draws)….. :)

Where’s the Continuity Guy….when you need him :)

I'm not sure if the body with the straight door pulls even existed at that point. I think the blue-jewel faceplate got switched to the Jewelarama body after season 1.

And in another continuity mix up in City on the Edge when Spock is in front of the Guardian he has the #1 hero with the straight door pulls but when he jumps through into the past he suddenly has what looks like a fiberglass tricorder in the outdoor backlot scenes.

It appears to me…the jewelarama was 1st shown in season 1 episode 2….Charlie X as the screenshots from that episode shows below…

I’ve read somewhere that the jewelarama inset was only used once and that would be Charlie X. Perhaps the jewelarama was merely placed over the moire and then removed after Charlie X…Hmmmm.

Whats other episode(s) that clearly shows the jewelarama other than Charlie X?

Uses for the jewelarama…

Yeah….that’s a continuity blunder….fur shure. I’m suspect there were other technical blunders throughout the 3 seasons. Perhaps you’ll laugh at the Star Trek Bloopers vids on YouTube.

Before entering the portal, then when they were stealing cloths to wear.

Off the top of my head the Jewelarama tricorder also shows up in Balance of Terror, Shore Leave, The Squire of Gothos, and The Galileo Seven.

Perhaps your at that point in your decision making of whether or not to buy a Wand Tricorder…..it’s pricey no doubt.

Well don’t fret…..you can still buy a Star Trek cardboard Tricorder Favor Box!!! By Prime Party….

Yes that’s right folks….but is there some sort of precedence for a cardboard Tricorder? Sure there is….a cardboard stunt Tricorder was used by McCoy in Miri while he was getting roughed up….a cardboard stunt Tricorder was used by Sulu in Shore Leave while confronting a Samurai Warrior.

Now you can own your own similar inspired cardboard Tricorder…..you also have space to carry things inside! Comes with a carry strap too! Also a picture of Spock on the screen!

Use the Gooooo to search for where to buy….

So it’s not a Wand….but it’s a T——R——I——C——O——R——-D——E——R!!!! Think of it as the stunt model of your very own ;)

I know Wand Co. replicated the prop as it exists today, but I really wish they had gone with the straight door pulls.

I guess I'll just need to figure out how to crack open the inner door panels...

Or if your really daring…..just file off the overhanging lip portion of the “L” pull handle…..be careful to maintain a straight and even horizontal edge while filing.
