Not for me either. Glad folks from the US are posting this. Lol, I asked about this 10 pages back.
Mine does.Holding the middle button down again, will not turn it off. It will turn off after 15 minutes of not being used, or on the main screen you can select force hibernate, and that will shut it down. Though technically, you are pushing the middle button to make that happen.
Well I’ll be…Mine does.

Yeah those of us in the US will be paying more now. Unless you bought from the UK without an invite. Which a few sneaky individuals did of course ..lolSo, did you get the link to purchase from? I received an email from the Wand Company stating that they are raising the costs. So now it will be about $500 after taxes & shipping.
It is now $415 before tax and shipping up from $350. So close to $500 now after tax and ship.I have not received a link, although I'm probably last in line.
I have not received an email about a $500 price point either. Hopefully not true, as that is probably past what I'm willing to pay for a dust collector. No matter how cool it is.
Did doing a shut down (holding the center button) not work either? That's odd. Hope it was just a fluke.
BTW, I don't think the shut down is mentioned in the manual. It tells you how to turn it on, and then says to close the hood to make it hibernate, but I don't recall it saying that you can hold down the middle button to shut it down. That way you can display it with the hood up without draining the batteries or waiting until it goes to sleep.

If they sell through Amazon US, shipping will be free, whether you have Prime or not.* With tax about $444.It is now $415 before tax and shipping up from $350. So close to $500 now after tax and ship.
I would not even think twice....once would be sufficient.Mine from the UK cost me $423. I wouldn’t even blink about $444. Now if the tariffs had made them closer to $1000, I’d be thinking twice.
It does need to be on the home screen. It'll go into prop mode for a few seconds (since you're pushing the prop button) and then shut off.Well, it doesn't seem to be in the manual, and I couldn't get it to work on mine, but I don't have a lot of time to dig into it right now.
I've just been letting mine hibernate on its own.

If the price is $415 it should be around $450 or so with tax, at least on Long Island in New York. If you are a Prime member then shipping should be free but I don't know what it would be if you are not although someone else said it should still be free unless you are willing to pay for a faster shipping method. It is now $415 before tax and shipping up from $350. WandCo did point out powering down by holding the center button for 5 seconds in their FAQ's. It's applicable from the Home Screen, not available while in other modes.

They tried the medical screen, but they couldn't get it to look good on the 320 x 240 display. I'm a little fuzzy right now about where I read about it, but it might have been Andrew Stockdale's Instagram feed. They didn't give details as to why it looked bad, but my guess is the lines in the graphic are too fine at that resolution to read properly.I think about the only thing I would have done differently would be with the discs. Instead of orientation or audio, I would have made one of them medical. It would’ve been cool to have McCoy‘s medical screen on that.
