The Walking Dead Show Discussion - with potential spoilers

That's the thing I don't get. The radio worked (although that radio looked more like an old CB than a SINGARS), so the battery still had power. It seemed unlikely that the tank ran out of gas in the middle of the street. Either way, I think most anyone would at least try. You don't need keys. With a tank you could plow through that crowd easily. You don't even need ammo.

And since I'm on the radio, what are the chances that the other guy was on the same frequency?

Yeah, this episode wasn't all that great. No where near as tense and effective as last week, but Darabont is a tough act to follow in the director's chair.

I didn't get to see it yet but my friend in Atlanta was watching last night and the animal hospital she works at was on the show in a scene and she got all excited lol.

if the tank really did work...do you think the army men would have driven themselves to safety? I know I would have gotten the hell out of there if my partner and I were the only ones left in our squad...

The tank driver was obviously bit, so he must have succumbed to the "virus" or whatever before getting out of Dodge.

I gotta admit, I hate Zombies and their stinking movies. But just in case, im ready. The fire selector reads 'safe' 'undead' and 'outbreak' instead of safe, fire and auto.

Really enjoyed last night's episode:) As far as the so called "dumb" moments with our survivors, lets be honest people do worse everyday, so I am not going to slam the show for that.

I enjoyed the changes from the comic, and also the Zombies with dexterity, motor skills and cognitive thinking, which is not good for our survivors. The zombie that was able to break into the store using a rock, and the climbing Zombie were very troubling. it was also cool to see the sewer Zombie eating a rat.

I wonder if at some point we will see some Zombie animals, ala Resident Evil (dogs)? Some great lines in this show just like the first as well. Loved what Glen said to Rick about riding into town like Clint Eastwood, yee-haw, your still a dumb *%$!

Great stuff:)

Anyone take the survival test on the AMC site yet? I did, got Natural Leader:)
The Walking Dead - Survival Test - AMC

Ha, that's a pretty good test. I got Alpha male. It says I would be a good leader as long there isn't a natural leader around, lol.

I also got Natural Leader.

Funny about the beans question.

Dad always said. "One day the end of the world may come, but I'll be damned if I spend it shooting my neighbor over the last can of peaches." Kind of creepy and nostalgic at the same time.

Just watched the second episode on the dvr and I was pretty much on edge for the survivors in trying to get out of there.

The one thing that had me in disbelief is how the car started with the alarm going. I don't know if most cars have this, but I can't start my car is my alarm is armed, especially it it's blaring loudly. But I figured the car was put in there as a promotion.

One question I have that is not related to the show, but does anyone here know the name of a zombie comic where there are two survivors who go around a city? I remember I read about it in either Fangoria or the Comic Con program guide. The comic is relatively new and I know one of the comics said that "What will they do when they find a women?" I don't recall the name of the comic, but am interested in finding out.

There has not been any zombie animals in the comic, so I hope there aren't any in the TV show.

As for the zombie breaking the glass at the clothes store, the very SAME thing happened in "Night of the Living Dead" The first zombie on screen used a rock to break the glass into Barbara's car, so if anyone's complaining, complain to the source and then look like an idiot.

And "Natural Leader" here of course.

Also should be noted, it's been picked up for a 2nd season with THIRTEEN episodes. It's been reported to have the highest ratings for adults 18-49 in cable television history.

I would hope no zombie animals... it just makes things more problematic. Rats may outnumber people 3 to 1 in large cities and can get into many more places. Birds probably outnumber us 6 to 1. They can fly, so you'd never be able to fight them.

It would make telling a story on television for a few seasons a bit troublesome.

Im not digging the half running zombies or the fence climbers at all.. How are they going to ever defend the prison if they can climb fences?

I got hillbilly survivalist and oddly that seems very fitting lol. Faster zombies i can handle, a few that are smart are okay but climbing zombies seems far fetched even for a zombie storyline.
