The Walking Dead Season 9

Something happened during the time jump that caused the friction between Alexandria and everybody else. I'm going to guess it has something to do with the X scars, but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. Writers love to split these characters up and bring them triumphantly back together. They've done it over and over again on the show over the years.

I really enjoyed the fog/graveyard fight. That was well done, looked cool, and hey, we at least got a preview of Alpha and Beta, and Beta looks pretty good. I was hoping they would be properly introduced last night.

Negan and Beta have some great dialogue in the comics, hopefully we get to see some of that in the show. And it looks like Beta gets his two knives from Darrel!

Killing off ***** while Henry still lives shows there is absolutely no justice in the world of The Walking Dead. Are they going to keep up the mystery of what happened between the communities for as long as the bloody helicopter people plotline? Annoying as hell. Still, that graveyard scene was the best thing in the show for years.

Daryl actually used a noise maker ! so surprised

the graveyard fog parts looked like it was a different show, im liking this reboot season so far !.

***** finally cuts lose and shows off a bit and whack haha !

The Whisperers seem like their tactic is only a one off. Once people know what they are it wouldn't work. It also wouldn't work on some group with a large ammo supply that didn't worry about taking pot shots at herds.

BTW, what's up with the approach of Michonne and Co. to Hilltop? They met riders last episode and they rode ahead to say they were coming. Then in this episode "OMG people are coming, get inside the walls!" So it's either bad writing or those guys are complete slackers who just rode back and it was Miller time without reporting in.

I agree about the one off tactic. Thats out an done now.

Those riders went from hilltop to Alexandria. Michonne told them to report the news and make them aware that she knew about it and was going to Hilltop. Originally she was only escorting halfway. We saw the riders arrive at Alexandria when Gabe had finished talking with Negan.

Whisperers, load of rubbish. Wearing walker guts and skins should result in high probability of infection as laid out in the saviours poison arrow tactic during the war. Which was a change up from when Rick and Glenn did it, and now thats been changed back again.

***** could have just walked through that gate, he died coz just had to show off. If he's buying time for the others then why are they just stood watching and not running? Pointless.

I wouldnt consider the Whisperers tactic one off. They actually have a huge advantage. They can control and direct herds. We've seen what kind of chaos that can cause. Now everyone will actually have to pay attention to the walkers and use caution. No more just letting them walk by, letting them crowd the gates, or just casually walking up to them to kill them. It's a whole new ball game now.

How are they controlling herds though? What have they got that stops 150 walkers moving towards the firecrackers and barking dog?

Thats how the tactic fails, you know now to keep well away from walkers and herds, you dont give them the chance to use the advantage. It will only ever work up close.

Idk what they did, besides maybe just changing direction, but it worked. As Eugene said, that heard went through the barn area several times looking for him. And it was the same herd at the end. Imo that's a deadly asset the Whisperes have on their side.

Again. Wait and see.

I know they were doing it, I want to know how. That kind of ability has massive implications. If it were me, I'd be leading them out of cities and reclaiming them. Not messing with hillbillies out in the sticks.

So all the Brit actors are gone,Rick,Maggie Morgan,***** and Ann/Jadis(scottish), i loved the soundtrack very 80's horror,it was a good episode

I am actually more interested in the show now that Rick is gone. Seeing how his absence has caused things to spin out and deteriorate for the different communities and characters finally feels a little fresh. We got 8 seasons of everyone sticking together through the sheer force of Rick's will, I'm glad to see things taking a twist.
I have a feeling that Negan is going to have an important role to play, maybe as kind of a wild card between the Whisperers and the communities, maybe something a little (but not too) redemptive for him. I don't know anything, never read the comics, could be wildly off base. Weirdly excited for when the show comes back in February after mostly just coasting along for a couple seasons now.

The Whisperers don't want to reclaim cities or the world to go back the way it was. They believe that what they are is the next evolutional step in civilization. Wait until Alpha and Beta show up.

You see the bald guy in the trailer? Think that’s alpha and they made her a guy in the tv show?

Personally I like seeing Negan free, hopefully he fills the missing slot rick left...

No, she's still female. She's being played by Samantha Morton, who played Agatha in Minority Report. Very talented actress.
