The Walking Dead Season 3

Of all people, Carl was the first to say something to Rick and you can just imagine how that would feel hearing it from your own son. I know Herschel talked to Rick in the last episode, but he wasn't stern enough. Rick seems to be experiencing what used to be called "shell shock" and now is more commonly considered PTSD. When someone is experiencing this in the field you either kick them in the a** or ship them to a hospital. Some people can snap out of it (at least temporarily) like Rick did during the attack, but the stress of command will make any previous symptoms worse ... And it rarely ends well (in the real world). So, Herschel finally talking to Rick in the current episode is a good thing and a discussion the group needs to have before Rick kills them all (accidentally or otherwise).

True but, in my opinion, none of them are being quite forceful enough in expressing their opinions. It's one thing to question the orders of your leader when he's cool, calm, collected and seems otherwise rational, it's a different entirely when he's clearly losing it like Rick is. Granted they were pressing him to get it together and start making decisions again but none of them were really stepping up to press their case for what they thought they should do or argue that Rick's plans were not going to cut it.

Range shooting is a unique situation. Even RHs can experience getting hit by their own (or the next lanes) casings. I've put 1,000s of rounds through a variety of platforms (i.e. M9, M16A2, 92FS, AR-15, P-3AT, PF9, 10/22, Saiga 12, etc ...) and whenever I'm on an open outdoor range I've never been hit in the face by my own shells. I doubt I'm just lucky, but then everyone's experience is different.

But the thing is, the ranges we have in the Corps are all open, completely open except for where the range master sits and the target pits. The shooting lanes are all completely open without even any kind of partition between lanes. Hell, the ones in Pendleton (I don't know about elsewhere in the Corps) don't even have grass on the lanes, just gravelly dirt and the lanes aren't even defined or marked, just the targets are. However, being right handed I can't really attest to whether open or covered lanes make any difference in regards to brass and left handed shooters, all I can say is that my left handed friend had issues during his time in the Corps.

At the end of this episode when they show "next week on the walking dead" I wonder if the guy on the roof of the building with the rifle will turn out to be the black guy from the first season who had the kid?

I forgot his name but that would be cool!

As much as I'm sick of the character Andrea, I kinda don't want her to die either. I dig Laurie Holden.

I like the actress, but the character is ruined. There's no redemption for her anymore. Ever. There's nothing her character can do to redeem herself. She needs to die. I think I know how it's going to play out too.

Just a guess here, but I'm thinking Beth is going to replace Lori on the final assault of the prison. Beth will get shot while holding Judith, killing them both. The shooter will have been Andrea, who will then finally see how she's totally ****ed up the situation and was on the wrong side and she then kills the Governor.

Assuming the producers have the balls to do that.

We may see Glen and Merle allies when it comes to controlling Rick ...

I knew she wouldn't follow through on Carol's advice, but it would've been cooler if she did.

I hate to admit it, but Beth is coming to the forefront in every episode recently ...

I agree. Beth will get shot during the next assault on the prison, but think it'll happen while she's protecting Asskicker. The Gov claims the baby for his own thus indenturing Andrea to be the mother.

Given the amount of crazies Rick has acquired over the loss of his wife, I don't see how he'd actually be able to go on if his kid died too. I think it would be way OoC to continue the show with Rick alive if they go that route.

See, the problem is they started the crazy TOO early. It should have happened AFTER them leaving the Prison. That's where it happened. The TV writers keep just ****ing up the story lines constantly.

I'm sure if they didn't have him turn wacko this soon viewers would scream about how unrealistic it is for Rick to maintain control after all he's been through.

But never underestimate a persons ability to ignore emotions in favor of survival.

Ive seen two actors I know as studio audience guest questionnaires or are you talking about an actual on the couch guest? If its a audience guest question, its written by a writer then read by an actor.

They were on the couch, but they were actors from some shows I've never heard of. Nobody involved in the show.

Herschel is one of the few in the group that doesn't have a personal problem with Merle. Maybe he doesn't know the whole story about what happened to Glen and Maggie, or maybe he just has a more rational and forgiving attitude. He definitely sees the benefit to keeping Merle on their side ... Then again he wanted Tyreese's group to stay too.

Oh just wait until Merle starts making racist jokes about Maggie and Glen. I bet Herschel changes his attitude quick! I think most people would like Merle to change, but I doubt it.

God oh God! My best friend recommended me watching TWD and I catched up all to 3x11! Ok, eehh, first: a beautiful woman doesn't need to hide anything… :D - so my guess is, there was no body double. Second, the character Andrea has a horrible choice for men - she was always someone, who was tired of running 'n' hiding, it's understandable that she chose a cozy bed over real friends, but that's her blind side. She's always a slow realizer for the truth and I wouldn't want her get killed off so soon, there's redemption for her, but her horrible choices are what gets her killed sooner or later.
Herschel, I guess, he's testing the waters with Merle. A man so experienced wouldn't trust someone like Merle so easily. Daryl will have to kill him off, if I was a writer on TWD - ugly, but that'll be fitting. Rick, well regarding wandering in "crazytown" as Glenn called it, it'll get worse… I like that!

Its definitely a body double, they don't show her face at the same time the body shot, not even from the side.

I was ready to quit watching this week. I told my wife I'm done if it doesn't pick up, it did and next weeks looks cool too. Its not that I don't enjoy it but it annoys me there is so much potential not being used.

When you guys first mentioned "body double" and "Laurie", I thought you meant Laurie the character, not Laurie the actress, because ghost Laurie was WAY bustier than Sarah Callies could ever hope to be. But then I realized Laurie the character is actually Lori the character. Derp.

I don't think that they used a body double for Laurie the actress, if I recall correctly her name was in the opening credits of that episode, or maybe it was the episode after where he "sees" her outside of the prison.

Maybe this will help keep all these damned Lauries straight ... Laurie Holden (the actress) vs. Lori Grimes (the character)

And dear sweet zombie *****, I hope the was Laurie's real body. I've wanted to see her naked from even before I ever saw her! :lol

Oh oh! Canadians at risk of losing AMC this week! Check this out. :(

From The Globe and Mail: AMC fires at Rogers over hit shows...

Aw, that's just a shame, don't you know. Maybe you'll be able to read all aboot it while at Tim Horton's enjoying a double double, ay ...

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I'll stop poking fun at a terrible situation.

You hoser.

Ok now I'll stop. :)
