The Walking Dead Season 3

Am I the only one who's gonna miss Michonnes walkers? Although that scene was cool I was kinda bummed for them. I think they had a really creepy interesting look. The way they started acting up like some chained dogs.

I was kinda put off by how quickly she dispatched her pets. I preferred the comic ending to them, but I was kind of hoping they would have stuck around a little longer. I hope they show the relationship she had with them prior to them becoming zombie pets.

Did anyone notice anything familiar about that head in the jar at the end?

Not only that, doesn't the one on the far left look like it's Leatherface's mask?

Actually, I do have a bit more to comment. Is it just me or did the makeup just get really low quality in this show? Michonne's two "pets" seemed to suddenly have very unimpressive makeup applications as did a number of the walkers at the helicopter crash site. Maybe I haven't been paying attention but until now, the makeup has always looked good... and suddenly it looks very amateur.
boy am i glad that its not just me

Oh wow i wouldve never noticed that, good eye. I love Merels new "hand" reminds me of The Evil dead. Also that nazi Doctor guy he seems interesting.

Since I have not read the book(s) I have to ask....How close is the show to it, and is it for the best?

Oh, and for the record, I was totally waiting for someone to "off" the head convict. After I LMAO at the prison beat down they gave those zombies.

To different animals, both are good but differ. Think of it like an alternate universe with same messed up things happening, only different outcomes.

maybe next they will just kill of sword girl. Lamest character since RV man.

Yeah. She works great in the comics, but I'm not liking her at all in the live version. As far as Andrea goes, I'd like to see her gone as well. Pity, nothing like the strong interesting character we have in the comics. Least not yet.

The way they started acting up like some chained dogs.

Later in the last episode when they are looking over the "pets" heads and bodies, and they talk about them being docile it confused me.

If they were docile because of the missing arms and lower jaw (no real way to feed) why (other than a story point) were they getting excited?

Good point, Dave. Did anyone else catch the look Merle gave the Governor after dispatching the soldiers? I wonder if Merle will turn on the Governor? Maybe he will save Michonne from her comic fate with Governor?

I'm pretty sure that 2 puppets than Michonne caries are her 2 older brothers before they turn into walkers cause she said that Andrea " didn't knew how it felt "

If they were docile because of the missing arms and lower jaw (no real way to feed) why (other than a story point) were they getting excited?

Because they saw human beings that they weren't familiar with. You see, when the scientist meant they were docile, he meant they were docile towards Michonne and Andrea, because they were used to them (I bet something similar happened shortly after Michonne save Andrea, and after months of being together, they probably got used to Andrea). The moment the two saw humans they were not familiar with, they started to act like they would if they had jaws and arms and saw the humans out there as food. You get what I mean?

I think another reason for taking out the National Guard guys was the story about their base. They thought they had a safe place with walls and it only took one person to get infected to take down the whole thing. That's essentially what the Governor has in the town. The towns people think they're safe and look at him like their cult leader. That's how he controls them and that's what he wants. If seasoned soldiers show up and tell the story of their failure, it could be a very dangerous seed planted.

You can see how much emphasis he puts on how impervious the walls are. He claims they'll hold in the event of anything. When he lies about the soldiers, he again emphasizes the walls and the fact that they died because they didn't have them.
