Best to have a backup plan. Being able to watch it on AMC.com or Hulu are two good examples.

I can't wait to see her in action. The prop master for the show contacted one of my clients to make the sword props. The producers had some specific things they wanted in her sword design. I ended up doing the design drawings for the sword and scabbard for them. With the short deadline, we did not have the time to make the actual props, but the guys who did make them did a great job.

i just hope she doesn't swing it the way she's holding it ... like a baseball bat. i'm hoping that is just a pub still and the camera man just had her lower the blade to get it in frame.

It looks like the guy who did make the final prop made something like 3 versions; one with a dummy blade of some sort that's safe to use around people, one with an aluminum blade for use against weak props or something, then one with a fully functional blade (apparently) made in the traditional way that can really cut.
