As a sort of update: I've descended to the point where, I stopped what I was doing last night, to ask myself "Has the package [helmet] come in yet?"

This is going to be a long two months... Lol!

Did you order from his Etsy store? My friend has been trying to get ahold of him all week and hasn’t heard anything back. He too wants to place a order

Try contacting him over Facebook, I posted the link above.

He's quite busy all the time, but he's a great guy, believe me he helped me a lot for my full costume and for several other builds!

Alberto

Im curious if there is a definitive chest box discussion. Specifically im looking for all the dimensions, the box, buttons, etc... does a discussion exist? Im thinking of creating a 3D file to print one.

Are there any reliable etsy, ebay, or does Wampawear still make them?

Super late Update! I got the helmet kit in!

Couldn't be happier with the kit! Even with the roughly handled box damage, the parts inside were flawless! I glued it up and bondo'd the gap so I could sand in a more uniform edge and re-scratch a more uniform gap. Gluing ABS is a special kind of pain on this scale.

This is more or less where I am right now, I mixed the bondo a little lean so I've been letting it slow cure for a week or so. the local humidity hasn't helped me judge it's cured-ness, but It seemed done last time I tested it.

I have a feeling my regular helmet will be getting a replacement soon...

I finally but the bullet and got a mannequin for my X wing costume that’s been sitting in the closet for two years. It’s a Darth Hair helmet and Chest box. He’s a little too tall and skinny but it’s the only one I could find with a semi normal pose and open fingers for the gloves.

Finished my Red Five helmet! First time doing any big prop like this and I had a really good time. Now I just need Wampa Wear to actually finish and send me the rest of the costume. I've been waiting almost 7 months for my order now, pretty disappointing.

Evening all. I'm new to the whole cosplay scene and have decided that Red 6 will be my first port of call. I am 3D printing a lot of the things needed for this costume but have come a cropper for the wrist comms pocket. Does anyone have a pattern guide I can use to make one or is it a case of trial and improvement? I don't have a sewing machine so it will be a hand stitch affair but I would like to keep it as neat and straight as possible.

Thanks in advance for any advice you fine people can give me
