The ULTIMATE Freddy mask

Paint wouldn't stick to silicone until just recently when painting systems were developed for that purpose.

Silicon painting systems are amazing. Silicone Inc. Has one available and the results are impressive. Basically it uses a liquid silicone adhesive that can be mixed with most any tube of quality artist oil paints. That way any color can be mixed including translucents to give great depth to underlying detail like veins or odd mutations. :D
The effect is incredi9ble. This system was used on prosthetics and creature effects exclusively on the TV show Surface. Nim, when not digital, was pure silicone right to the paint job.

Holy smokes ... that is simply too awesome for words.

Do you have to use anything like spirit gum to have the mask fit to your eyebrows and mouth? If so how do you remove it without it tearing?

I asked the same thing and they said you dont use any adhesives at all. you have to stretch it over your head and it becomes like a second skin
very comfortable from what i hear about their other masks

Having owned one of these let me say this this is the most innovative mask design ever conceived. They slip right over your head and fit anyone. This is because of the years it took to develop the proper core to the mold. 700$ price tag seems steep but you're also getting a set of teeth, the armature to display it on...not to mention that these molds cost 3K a pop to get done. Also, running this silicone is expensive as well and it probably close to 100$ per mask. This is the next generation of halloween masks. I seriously don't think it will be long till someone comes out to try and copy this.

I appreciate all the compliments. I sculpted it and I am still in awe of how cool the finished product looks. I know that less than five of these will ever be sold. I sculpted it and commisioned Russ to cast it using his innovative techniques. I gave him the okay to sell a few just to recoup some of his costs so whoever snags one of these will be in a very exclusive club.LOL. Thanks again for all of your compliments.

I assume that because it is silicone, it isn't very "breathable" How long can one wear a mask like this, before it starts to feel constricting?

People who have his masks say they went 3-4 hours without taking them off and it wasnt bad at all. probably because you arent breathing *inside* it, so heat and sweat dont build up

F.C.:

I was talking to Rusty about these the other day, and he is very, very serious about the limited run. I believe all of them have been spoken for already, but I could be wrong. For those of you who will no doubt ask, no Rusty does not sell blanks/unpainted copies of his masks.

Magicman, I sure hope you asked permission before you posted that info.

Jas,
I gave MagicMan permission. I am the one who sculpted it and commisioned Russ to cast it in silicone for me.
