The Star Wars Exhibition is currently in Sweden, I´m posting a link to the photos I took when visiting yesterday.

PICTURES

I had a great time beeing there. Had a small chat with Don Bies. It was a pleassure talking to you.
I got some really nice shots from behind inside the reveal mask. i never seen those details before.
A bit similar to the EP 3 regarding the eyes, but far less detailed than ep 3. I liked the ep 6 reveal better from the inside.

Where in Sweden is the exhibition? I'm realy tempted to go along and see this (although I'm in the UK I missed it when it was in London D'OH!)

Can anyone confirm if the Han in Carbonite prop is at this exhibition? Some really cool pieces on display like the lifesize Speeder Bike, Vader reveal helmet, Boushh costume etc. :eek

Can any Swedish board members recommend some cool places to visit whilst in Sweden? I've always wanted to visit the scandanavian countries and this might be a good excuse to go to Sweden for a short break ;)

Cheers,
John

PS - Big THANKS to Bromer for posting the great pics! Shame that these exhibitions are always so poorly illuminated :(

The Exhibition is in a small town called Örnsköldsvik in the north of Sweden, it´s a 55 min flight from Stockholm

The Han Solo in carbonite is unfortunetly not displayed.

If you are coming to Sweden there´s plenty of nice places to visit but also depending on what you would like to do.
However, Stockholm is always nice in the summer :thumbsup

The Han In Carbonite was there in Brussels. The Wookiee costumes where left out, as they needed to be repaired, so they were sent back to the 'Ranch. idon't know if they are back for Sweden.

I will post a video of the Brussels expo soon :)

A great thank you for these very nice pics :)

By seing them, a question is coming to me (certainly discussed here before but...) : why did Master Replicas painted his Snowspeeder with gray stripes instead of orange ???

Thanks
FRED

Would like to see these pics but the link isn't working for me for some reason... :confused

Works fine for me, anyone else having problems?
Is it just me, or... does it not happens each time that you post images, that half the visitors can access them and the other half can not. :unsure

I was there as a costumed participant during the opening weekend. The best was to meet Anthony Daniels at the airport at midnight, the night before the opening ceremony.
I was able to roam the halls during several days, and got quite several good looks at a couple of items. However, I did not take any pictures that were decent enough to post here. All of these items have been shown before at various exhibits.
I posted this inventory on another forum, so I could just as well post it here also:

Pod race:
- Anakin's och Ratts Tyrell's podracers.
- Flags from the Arena.
- Sebulba's podracer.
- Anakin's podracer as model.
- Podrace spectators model, with multicolored q-tips.
- Bridge over the pod race circuit.
- Many models concept art models I don't care about.
- Concept art by Doug Chiang of Watto and his shop.
- Qui-Gon Jinn's outfit. Belt pouch and lightsaber are the only props visible.
- Zam Wesell's airspeeder from Episode 2 stood in-between two pod-racers for some peculiar reason. It had a hole in the ceiling.

Death Star:
They have mixed up DS1, DS2 and ROTS.
- Imperial Officer.
- ROTJ stormtrooper, with ROTJ blaster.
- "MSE-6 Mouse Droid"
- Death Star Droid
- Quite a few DS1 surface tiles.
- Two gun turrets from DS1 of different size.
- ROTS Royal Guard with force pike.

Darth Vader:
I don't know which version. I did notice that the colored buttons on the chest box were fronted with reflective tape of some kind..
Concept art and storyboards: Meditation chamber, ROTJ duel, etc.

Darth Vader 2:
- Anakin Skywalker costume. Nothing in the belt.
- A chair from Mustafar.
- Video of Mustafar scene.
- Large TIE Interceptor model.
- Darth Vader Reveal helmet !!

Endor:
- Full-scale Speeder Bike
- Model of Luke och Leia on Speeder Bike.
- Storyboard of speeder bike-shots and the completed sequence on a video screen, however - they were a distance from eachother.
- A-wing.
- b-wing.
- AT-ST from Endor.
- Tiny shield generator from Endor. (according to the label)
- A full-size Ewok. Unsure which, Not Wicket.
- Modell of ewok with hangglider.
- Concept art: "Wokling" and Ewok village.

Droids:
- R2-D2, C-3PO. Unsure which. Label said "Star Wars Trilogy".
- Ralph McQuarrie's concept art of R2-D2 och C-3PO.
(I almost tripped over Don Bies here when he was crouching rigging things up...)

Tatooine / Jabba's palace:
- Leia's gold bikini.
- Bousch
- Gold bikini concept art.
- Storyboard for the thawing of Han.
- Masks: Ishi Tib ("Starfish"), Nikto, Barada och Klaatu.
- Full-size Weequay, mask and costume.

- Boba Fett, ROTJ. Complete costume. Did not notice any blaster.
- Lando, Skiff Guard disguise.
- Various concept models for Jabba.
- Various concept-models for various aliens, including Gamorrean Guard and Bib Fortuna.
- Rancor model.

Utapau:
- Many buildings.
- Large sink hole model.
- A trade federation chair, that I believe was actually next to the conference table in the throme room on Grievous' ship.
- A detailed wall. Unsure where it is from.

Geonosis:
- Separatist council chambler chair.
- Count Dooku's chair from the arena sequence.
- Concept sketches and models from the battle.
- Models of the three monsters in the arena.

Naboo:
- Darth Maul (no wrist link)
- Darth Maul's lightsaber, stunt version.
- Obi-Wan's Episode 3 costume ! Only prop is a belt pouch - the same style as in Ep1 and 2.
- Amidala's red dress with glowing eggs and gold embroidery... (whatever people call it), flanked by two "Yellow handmaidens".
- Amidalas white celebration dress.
- Amidalas "Travel Dress #2"
- Amidalas red velvet "Battle Dress". I noticed that the belt buckle is different from the one in the Visual Dictionary (which I have replicated).
- Four chairs:
- Trade Federation walking chair.
- Lake retreat dinner chair.
- Blue dinner table chair from deleted family scene in Episode 2.
- A "couch", chair. I believe from the Queen's audience chamber, not sure.
- Large model of the red Republic Cruiser from the opening shot of Episode 1.

Kamino:
- Assassin droid from Coruscant (!)
- Jango Fett. The blasters are holstered.
- Models of Kaminoan and Aiwha, plus early naked concept-kaminoan.
- Painting of Tipoca City.

Coruscant:
- Emperor's throne from his room underneath the senate in Episode 3. Not the throne from his conference room.
- The bronze-looking busts from the Jedi Temple, of Count Dooku, Yoda and Ki-Adi Mundi.
- Concept-sketches of Palpatines office.
- Paintings of Coruscant's skyline and the Jedi Temple.

They could not fit a full-size Naboo Starfighter in the museum, so it has been placed in the lobby at Swedbank Arena.

The only way I can access the pictures is if I use a proxy. Maybe some of us on a certain backbone are cut off from certain servers overseas? I always thought the internet was completely interconnected.

Anyway, the pics are great! Unfortunately I can only see them in low 600x400 resolution.
