Ya they mentioned high gravity but their planet is like insane gravity...lol I think Lt Gordon Malloy is hillarious. Kinda reminds me of Trip from Enterprise. The down to earth joker type.
At this point, I don't think it's fair to call "The Orville" a parody. It's more ST than "Star Trek Discovery" is. STD is the parody.
This.
This.
THIS!
Well congrats are in order, apparently.
Adrienne Palicki (Kelly Grayson) and Scott Grimes (Gordon Malloy) are now engaged.

I guess he showed up with a jacket with 100 zippers on it, and she couldn't resist.
I think this show is great. I love juvinile comedy. Kinda reminds me of the stupid stuff i used to (and still do) say to my friends. Last episode wasnt the greatest but i understand they needed to give Alara's actor a way out at least for now. At least they didnt kill her off so she may be back. I do wish they had done a trip to her homeworld earlier to give us better context as to why she has superstrength. I LOVE the replacement guy though. Eating on the bridge. Picard would never have allowed that ! lol
Halston is still listed in the cast for the next two or three upcoming episodes, I don't know if that means she'll make an appearance or if someone was just too lazy to update the credits.
I'm glad they didn't Tasha Yar her, I was really expecting her to be killed by an oil slick. I hope she's back, I think she's one of the most likable characters.
When other kids were listening to Michael Jackson, I was obsessed with Billy Joel's music, starting at 9 years old. This song got to me even back then. I was a very weird kid.My God, this latest episode... Ed just can't catch a break in the love department. Also, who'd guess that Billy Joel would be a onion-cutting ninja?
My husband and I just binged the last three episodes. My GOD, I love this show... It absolutely should not work. As a comedy homage to Star Trek, I would never expect to be so attached to these characters, but I've developed a real emotional connection to them. I was legit upset at Bortus during his issues with Klyden. The episode with Alara and her parents resonated powerfully because of the tensions my husband had with his father, and man, poor Ed... Billy Joel's gotten me through a heartache or two in my life, though fortunately not with a member of a murderous alien race!
I'm so looking forward to seeing where this seasons goes.
