"The Orville". A Seth McFarlane Space Adventure on Fox

Ya they mentioned high gravity but their planet is like insane gravity...lol I think Lt Gordon Malloy is hillarious. Kinda reminds me of Trip from Enterprise. The down to earth joker type.

I liked the new episode. I thought I recognized the actress playing Ed's girlfriend but I couldn't place her until the reveal later on. I thought Gordon's pysc evail was hilarious along with his simulator antics.

"Space Adventure" sounds much better than parody since this is more trek than trek.

Well congrats are in order, apparently.

Adrienne Palicki (Kelly Grayson) and Scott Grimes (Gordon Malloy) are now engaged.

'The Orville's Adrianne Palicki and Scott Grimes Get Engaged

I guess he showed up with a jacket with 100 zippers on it, and she couldn't resist.

Lucky guy.

Between Seth and Halston, now Palicki and Grimes, this show's going to get the reputation of being a love boat of sorts. I wonder how many more on set romances are going to occur on this show.

I think this show is great. I love juvinile comedy. Kinda reminds me of the stupid stuff i used to (and still do) say to my friends. Last episode wasnt the greatest but i understand they needed to give Alara's actor a way out at least for now. At least they didnt kill her off so she may be back. I do wish they had done a trip to her homeworld earlier to give us better context as to why she has superstrength. I LOVE the replacement guy though. Eating on the bridge. Picard would never have allowed that ! lol

I'm glad they didn't Tasha Yar her, I was really expecting her to be killed by an oil slick. I hope she's back, I think she's one of the most likable characters.

Poor Tasha Yar, taken out by a talking oil slick. That was lame for such a strong character. In the end they still brought her actress back 2 times. Once as a time screw up and the other as her bad sister, or was it daughter? I dont remember now. I didnt know Seth and Halston were having a fling. I wonder if that has anything to do with her departure. But ya, at least shes not killed off and she can come back. I did notice on her IMDB page she has been filming "The Last Summer" which is in post production now which means maybe filming of that and the Orville were at the same time so she had to pick either doing the TV show or a movie. Makes sense if she was worried about being type cast.

Halston is still listed in the cast for the next two or three upcoming episodes, I don't know if that means she'll make an appearance or if someone was just too lazy to update the credits.

Credits are a legal thing, it's the same reason that Stan Lee is still listed as executive producer in shows that happened after his death. He'll probably continue to appear in the credits of every Marvel movie that ever comes out.

Yeah, but she and Seth are supposedly in a relationship, so I'm sure some of it had to do with not wanting anything to look like favoritism.

My husband and I just binged the last three episodes. My GOD, I love this show... It absolutely should not work. As a comedy homage to Star Trek, I would never expect to be so attached to these characters, but I've developed a real emotional connection to them. I was legit upset at Bortus during his issues with Klyden. The episode with Alara and her parents resonated powerfully because of the tensions my husband had with his father, and man, poor Ed... Billy Joel's gotten me through a heartache or two in my life, though fortunately not with a member of a murderous alien race!

I'm so looking forward to seeing where this seasons goes.

My God, this latest episode... Ed just can't catch a break in the love department. Also, who'd guess that Billy Joel would be a onion-cutting ninja?

When other kids were listening to Michael Jackson, I was obsessed with Billy Joel's music, starting at 9 years old. This song got to me even back then. I was a very weird kid.

Yeah, this song hit me when it started playing at the end. It was perfect.

Liked the latest episode and I look forward to seeing how the new Security Officer works with the crew. I also like the guest stars we are getting, like Ted Danson this week. This reminds me of TNG where a lot of stars wanted to be on the show even if they didn't get screen credit for it.

I could not possibly agree more!
