The Official Boycott Star Wars Bluray thread

And was an actual character with goals and a personality. The fact that you think you can surpirse anyone with the fact that he was only onscreen for 12 minutes (whereas you never would blow anyone's mind with the fact that Maul is barely in TPM) should say everything there is to say right there. Vader is a massive presence, Maul on the other hand.....

I am intrigued by your ideas, and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Step off, yo! I'm just talkin' about Shaft and that anyone talking about seeing that scene restored has some good options already. errr...Word. To you mother. Yes, that will do.

Oh relax..I was just repeating a fact I saw at the movies the other day as I was surprised how little he was in the film in spite of the effect he leaves. Not everyone knows that..because I didn't know that.

Darth Vader was in Star wars for a total of 12 minutes.

And had a ton more dialogue, more important dialogue, and WASN'T THE CENTERPIECE OF THE DAMN POSTER! Luke and Leia were. Vader was hovering near the top, just as Maul was in the TPM poster. Now you'd think the whole movie was about him instead of...whatever it was about.

EDIT: just read your follow up post 1005. But I think my comments are still valid even if not directly rebutting you. :)

You know who he's like? He's like Luca Brasi or Il Mosca in the Godfather movies (Yes, I did reference Godfather III). He's this supposedly invincible hitman who ultimately fails. Actually, Luca Brasi had more lines.

I can totally imagine Maul's smooth voice going through the whole "Don Corleone...may they be masculine children" wedding speech :lol

Heh, yeah. I'm hoping we'll see a true, restored OT now, with no special edition additions, and without the goofy (and poorly done) color timing.

Interesting thing, though, Lowry -- the same studio that just restored the James Bond films and did an AMAZING job at it, I might add -- is the studio that restored the Star Wars discs. But apparently the stuff with color timing and audio flips for the rear channels? All LFL.

I own the DVD's of the original trilogy and sadly the prequels as well. Those were mucked up enough for me so I vowed MANY moons ago to NEVER buy again.

holy zombie thread batman
