The New Spider Man is....

this from the guy with the Joker as his picture...

I kid, I kid

But I agree, and you think they would cut their losses with how bad the superman movie did, and the 2nd and 3rd spiderman, and the 1st wasn't even that good, it was okay at the most. then you have how bad the 1st remake of Hulk was, and the 2nd wasn't all that good, though better by far, you have to note how low the 1st set the bar, I think a guy in green tights running around through out the 2nd hulk remake still would have been better then the 1st one. So far, the only Super Hero move besides Batman that hasn't disappointed was Iron Man. I think they should really call it a generation. If they have to rip something off/re-make it, it may as well be Metal Gear Solid, Gears Of War, Dead Space, or remake DOOM, I was not happy with DOOM at all, why base it on the game that did the worst out of the 3. But even if they were to remake/rip off any of those, though all they would have to do is follow the video game to the letter, they would still mess it up and ruin it, I'm 17 and I know this. T.T

Anyway, enough with my rant, if you actually read it, lemme know, if you actually agreed, let me hear a hell yea, cause you know what they are coming after next? Smerfs, and after that, what's to stop them from ruining Aliens, Predator, or even....... Fifth Element!!!!

Ummm...the 2nd and 3rd Spider-Man movies did huge box office. And I bet this next one will as well no matter who plays Spidey.

I'm betting there is a Deadspace movie on the way, and as for metal gear solid they shot down the script by the guy who is Snake in the games (david hayter) and turned him down as snake in the movie even though 1) he's a screen actor and 2) he really does look like snake. Don't forget Michael bay and his stinking piles being passed off as transformers did big despite nobody liking them. When you put movies out aimed at teenagers and have explosions you'll make cash, just look at T: Salvation.

Eh, not really happy with the casting choice..He looks too funky..Also, they chose the oldest actor among the candidates...I thought they wanted a reboot of him in high school..That wont last long...

I would have chosen Logan..I think he could have done a great job..

At LEAST they are making non-Twilight movies! I'd watch a dog eat it's own ***t before watching those.

If we weren't getting Superhero movies we'd miss them so at least we have some good ones out there. I am personally enjoying Marvel's latest batch of films (not counting the X-Men) and how they are intertwined. Of course I really liked Spiderman 1 & 2 and McGuire as Spidey so it will be tough to see a reboot so soon...but who knows.

Just a little tought to get out of the hating. As much as I loved the three... two movies made by Raimi, there was A LOT of room to get closer of what Spidey is. But that's not the point.
Comon' people, who is alongside Tony Stark at the start of Civil War ? Spidey.
My guess is, after seeing how lucrative Spidey was, they started to think their movies as a whole. That's why we are getting toward an Avengers movie. And I would not be surprised if Marvel decided to try and tie Spidey more in this universe, more close to Tony and Co.

Just my two cents. :)

Sony isn't about to give up their option on the character - and as far as Raimi goes... He at least stood up to that clown and shuckster Avi Arrad - the biggest battle he lost was the whole Venom thing. This new director will be Marvel's whipping boy - he won't be able to take a dump without asking Avi if he can. H's too unseasoned to go against billionaires. These new movies have no hope.

I think they may be thinking of backing out of the Avengers movie since *SPOILER ALERT*

Nick denies Stark in the avengers project.

the scene from "so...I married an axe murderer" springs to mind.
HEED! lol
(I'll be surprised if anyone gets that)
If they make a bobblehead of the new spiderman, and have to make his head even bigger....it ain't ever gonna stand up without support lol
Johnny

''Its like an orange on a toothpick, oh he'll be crying himself to sleep tonight on his giant pillow'' couldn't resist ''so... i married an axe murderer'' funny show,
but joking aside i like garfield seen some of his stuff, the guy can act plus even though he's 27 he looks alot younger so I wouldn't worry about his age. Also i like the idea of a skinnier spiderman on film, i mean spiderman was never a hulk in the comics,

Whether he's right for the role or not we'll see. But the guy can act. He was great in the first part of the Red Riding Trilogy. It was on T.V. here but it got a theatrical run in the states.

I think he'll be alright. There are definitely worse people they could have chosen. It's not like "Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan" bad.

Weird couple necro-spidey-threads popping back up this week! Have you guys been following the photos? I really don't dig the alterations to the red/blue suit pattern - I think the classic suit is one of the best Superhero designs of all time; change the materials and the details but the pattern is hard to improve - but the rest of what I've seen feels so much like the Amazing Spider-Man that I'm really shocked. I recently re-read the entire run up until it restarted the numbers (and a little bit past). This film obviously takes place in the present, but despite that fact they seem to have captured the feel of the 60s and 70s books in a very faithful way! Garfield's hair is funny sometimes, but Emma IS Gwen, Sheen's a perfect uncle Ben, Garfield strikes the right balance of social awkwardness and confidence that Peter maintained after gaining his powers. It's hard to make everyone 100% happy with every element of casting/cinematography/story, but I find it really hard to complain about this Peter Parker:
