The Mandalorian - full scale Child "Baby Yoda" prop

Essentially what I am noticing in the show is that he doesn't appear to have shoulders in his outfit. And there is space around his head for it to look around.

The rest of your outfit looks great. Maybe needs to be weathered but otherwise it's spot on.

Looks great. Are you planning to paint the head or is it just gonna look plain like this prototype?

Also, have you considered the shape of the collar? In the show it's much wider and looser fitting on him than this. In the show his whole outfit looks like it's too big for him. Yours looks almost form fit to his body.
We're reworking the collar, part of this fitting was to figure out where adjustments needed to be made on it, so now we build a new version with the changes.

This is a painted, finished head. The puppet on the show is very subtly painted - one of the things I've been seeing on other versions out there is the painting is always heavy handed, and it ends up making the face look way too old or dirty. I wanted to keep him as soft as possible.

Yeah, it's almost a poncho like slope off the collar. We think our rework today on the collar will help aid this, our pattern has that "no shoulder" slope to it. And we'll be weathering once we get a finalized garment. :)

Love how this is turning out so far! Have you considered producing raw kits too?
At the moment we aren't planning on any raw kits only because the time involved and materials cost are steep enough. After the run, we might consider doing a handful. Our ultimate goal is to use this run to help put together fundage for building a fully animatronic puppet version.

This picture shows the shoulder area very well.

Alrighty, long day of costume revisions, and still a bit more to go, though we think we have the collar bulk worked out a bit better. We're still a few days off from having a finished garment to distress, but it's getting there...its amazing how deceptively complex his little outfit is.

That looks tons better! Nice work!

Great job, best I've seen. but to me the clothes or body look too long. Take 2 or 3 inch off it and I think the proportion may be better.

Just my opinion of course.

Just a heads up, I'll be posting a project run on Thursday, with 15 slots in waves of 5. I'll post a link here when it drops! Happy New Year!
