The man they call Jayne...

This is an easy piece to put together, so here're the parts as I see 'em:

The necklace as worn by Jayne in the Serenity movie:

The pewter St. Christopher medallion (needing the distressing, of course):

which is available here: http://www.standrewschurchsupply.com/Jewel...rMedal-143b.htm

And then the chain, which as far as I can tell is a Bico Stylus chain:

which is available here: http://www.lucky38.com/Product.asp?pid=F12&im=1

Note: I am not endorsing the above companies, they are just ones I found. All I am doing is sharing some simple info for folks who might care, and might want a little protection in the 'Verse.

Anyone got any pics handy of Jayne wearing it to see how long the chain should be? I have emailed that site to ask the length of each chain.

And if anyone is going to order these please PM me. I'm in the UK and will split the cost of shipping in the US then you can ship to me later.

The chain on my Saint Christopher medal is just a regular silver chain, but it is thirty inches long, if that is any help. My medal is also silver, it was a Confirmation gift.

There are those who will tell you that Saint Christoper is no longer a Saint, but my view is once a Saint, always a Saint. Besides, my Priest blessed it for me, and they sure still sell a lot of his medalions in jewelry, and religious stores. So to me he is still a Saint.

David.

The person who purchsed the Jayne necklace (from Propstore, I'm assuming), claims the chain is actually a sterling chain, but the Bico links look right to me, and, from talking to my local Bico representative, the chains are actually a tarnish resistant combination of pewter and silver, which is where I assuming the owner's confusion comes from.

As far as the size, I'd probably order whatever size they had that was the biggest, but that's me.

I'm also trying to find the right cross/chain for Mr. Eko from LOST, in case anyone's interested, but I'm afraid that search will take a lot longer.

Anyone got a current source for the accurate medallion? They no longer appear to sell them at the link in the first post.

And they other place for the chain doesn't seem to ship internationally.

Anyone got other sources?

Finally, found a place in the UK. :)

Thanks to gnrlotto for the info on the correct model to look for. It's the Bico Stylus F12 and I would say the 50cm (the largest available) is correct.

can someone fix the link to the st christopher medalion? i cant find it...

ANY could someone repost the actual screen used one so we can get an accurate match?

Does anyone have any pics of the actual prop?

Does anyone have up to date images, and links for these items?

The link to the Saint Christopher medal still works, but I have to find a place that takes Paypal, and they don't, so if anyone can help with that, that would be great.

I have a couple pics of the original. The first two were posted somewhere (don't recall where) by the owner.

It does look like this medallion Pewter St Christopher Medal Necklace 24" Chain is the correct one, but the prop dept removed the original chain ring on top and replaced it with a thicker one.

I am probably going to pick one up. Want me to get one for you too, Jason?
