The ENCOUNTER - Step by Step Paintup

Muddy shoes - you betcha

I'm moving very slow with this, I KNOW, but I only get an hour or two a night to work on it, and I'm also taking my time with this one since it will be the last kit I plan on doing. I want to focus on the 4 other heads (soon to be 5 with Scott's Elder) and 3 Bios that I need to work on.

I started over with Arnie's camo pants since I didn't like the fact that my airbrush won't do small tiny defined details without looking blurry. I decided to paint over everything a second time with a brush to get the look I wanted. Here is the first color (light brown):

Here is the second color (dark brown):

Much better yes? Two more colors to add (dark green and black) and then the camo pants are done. I won't start on the Pred till Arnie is almost completely painted - saving the best for last :D

ya uh... i just realized, i'm not gonna be able to do that... WILL YOU PAINT MY ARNIE CAMO PANTS!?!?! :D 'ts the most intimidating part about it for me! looks amazing bro!

Camo patterns are just like Predator spots...they take time and randomness :D

...oh and about 2-3 hours of painting till your hands cramp up :D

I'm going to be on vacation for a week, but I'm taking this with me so that I can work on it :D More pics soon hopefully :)

lol, Taking your airbrush on vacation?!

How's the AB working out for you, anyway? They can be frustrating, but really, really rewarding at the same time. Well, really frustrating for me, anyway.

Its good for general painting, but I prefer my brushes for fine detail.

Any vacation is being spent back home with family and in-laws, so I'll have some spare time to get some painting done.

that looks awesome love how you did arnie's nerves popping out they sure were in that scene LOL
excellent so far keep it up can't wait to see it finished XD
