The DEFINITIVE TDK Joker Costume Thread/Project

I feel your pain brother! That is the same thing I did. Once I figured out what would show I just quit. how many hours do you have in those?

Found this chain, not sure how accurate it is but I like it for now.

Well I'm still waiting on my shirt to be finished.
But the waistcoat is done. I need to hunt down better buttons, but thats no biggy.
What do you reckon?

Vest looks good!

I'm pieceing together a Joker suit soon for a display mannequin. Kody, you got me started! hahah

The closest chain I have found was actually at Ace Hardware, that you can buy by the foot. When I get some, I will post pics.

Ya, I know a few people have said Lowe's or Menards has good looking chain as well.

(Still no updates on my stuff. However I'm thinking of putting some make-up on sometime here soon....Mabey someone will sew my shirt sometime....)

EDIT - Forgot, nice vest! :D

I found a nice chain once but I didn't buy it because I figured I'd wait until I had a bit more spare cash... and I forgot where I found it. :(

For whatever reason, that made me die laughing. :lol :p ;)

I need some mannequins. I want to decorate my future dentist office with my props and costumes. :)

I want some mannequins too - but its hard to find any that arent in really retarded poses...

If you really want a good display, you're going to have to pose them yourself. It really isn't that bad. I'm sure there are some tutorials around the web. You just hack the limbs off at the joints, pose, and fiberglass over the joint.

yeah, my biggest concern is always the hands. Theres no pre-made mannequin hands in the "holding a gun" or "holding up a coin" position... :D

Finally the end looks to be in sight.
Got the shirt finished.
All that remains is to add the shoes. I think I'll start looking behind the couch for spare cash, you never know.

Thank you very much I appreciate it.

The overcoat was made by a local friend of mine who runs his own tailoring/sewing business he has pretty much done all of it and the nurse dress (but thats another story) . I first approached him about it in Nov 07.
He adapted it from the laughing moon? (I'm not sure if thats right) frock coat pattern. Week after week I was feeding him all the new promo shots that were surfacing slowly on the net. But we never had any really good shots of the back of the movie coat until it was too late. Needless to say the back design is not accurate. But what it lacks in accuracy I feel it more than makes up for in the way it moves when you wear it.
So yeah, it's not as accurate as say indy's jawdropper. But I like it.
