On a completely unrelated topic, I had a general question about Batman's "voice". You know what I'm talking about.. the gravelly, I'm-gonna-kick-your-ass voice.
I know why he uses it, that's always been obvious, so that people don't recognize his voice. But, that raises the question:
Why does he continue to use the voice when he's around people who know who he is? I don't think there's any examples in the first film, but in the second film he's alone with Fox and still uses the voice. In this one, he's with Blake and later Selina after she finds out, and he's still using it. Hell, at one point, he's completely alone and he mumbles to himself, still using that voice.
Just seems kind of pointless. I've always noticed that sort of thing in the other films. Keaton and Kilmer would both slip into their normal "Wayne voice" when they were alone or with people they knew (I always thought it was kind of neat when they did, too). Clooney never had a Batman voice to begin with, so that's moot. But then Bale never drops Batman voice as long as the cowl is on his head, regardless of who's around.
