The Dark Knight Rises (Post-release)

Re: Your View: Dark Knight Rises ending *POSSIBLE SPOILERS*

Considering the story arc in the three movies, I thought the ending of The Dark Knight Rises was appropriate. Regardles of how dedicated and determined an individual is, being a vigilante crime fighter (especially one who uses Bruce Wayne's methods) is eventually going to take it's toll both physically and mentally. And, to keep this thread as spoiler free as possible, I'll stop there.

Re: Your View: Dark Knight Rises ending *POSSIBLE SPOILERS*

Anyone who comes to a thread with such a clear title deserves what they get.

I concur, even though the title says *POSSIBLE SPOILERS* I would just change it to *SPOILERS*, just because it is a spoiler to even vaguely reference anything on the internet. :lol

*SPOILERS!!!*

*LAST CHANCE!!!*

BACK ON TOPIC!!!:darnkids

I thought the ending was great. Good triumphed evil, Bruce & Selina have finally past the romantic interest stage, Alfred gets to see Bruce alive and well, John Blake is going to pick up the mantle, Luciusmakes it, and Gordon finally learns Batman's identity.

Talia and Bane are dead, The League of Shadows is done for, and scarecrow gets to have his fun. :thumbsup

It would've been nice if Heath was still alive, the Joker would've made a nice cameo. :(

Not going to happen. Maybe someone his age for a Year One story but not Justice League. In the Justice League Batman is a leader, JGL is just too young.

It'll depend on how they play it. On a somewhat related note, in the shelved George Miller version, Armie Hammer was signed on to be Batman and he's around five years younger than JGL...

I'll wait to see how Man of Steel starts the ball rolling on Justice League but I am very skeptical based on one reason. Batman in a Justice League movie should be Bruce Wayne and JGL's character, obviously, is not Bruce Wayne. What makes Superman and Batman work so well together is that they are Clark and Bruce as well. They have that relationship. To remove Bruce from Justice League would be a very risky move.

Almost missed this:

The Dark Knight Rises was released on DVD and Bluray yesterday here in HK. (The picture above is Bruce Wayne in the Batcave listening to Alfred telling him he never wanted him to come back.)

:lol

Haven't got mine yet. A friend got me the limited edition with the broken cowl box. Will get that on Saturday.

So is it out everywhere then, or just in a few locations? I thought the US release was still a week away...
