The Bride of Frankenstein by MOEBIUS - Finished pics page 3

Re: The Bride of Frankenstein by MOEBIUS - (build thread)

I like the broken bottle. Unique touch.

Here we have the final pieces to be completed to finish the kit, Frankenstein's head and arms.

Full reveal photos of the finished model will have to wait - I have some new studio lights being shipped to me for my photography studio.

The head, primer coat:

Final details. This took me a bit longer to complete compared to the bride. More layers of color had to be used to achieve an end result I was pleased with:

The arms went through an identical process. I was sure to highlight the raised veins on his hands with blue for a creepy, realistic look. I hope I succeeded:

I will have full professional photographs taken of the fully finished model very soon, so please check back.

Re: The Bride of Frankenstein by MOEBIUS - (build thread)

I'm considering getting the Bride of Frankenstein Aurora "Tribute" model, sculpted by Jeff Yhager (same person responsible for this kit) and although the price is pretty steep, I am really "feeling" it, and that's very important when putting all you got into a kit:

Re: The Bride of Frankenstein by MOEBIUS - (build thread)

I followed over here from the Elvira thread...

You know, I learn something almost every time I come here to RPF, and today I learned how to make crappy-ass clear modelling plastic look PHENOMENAL! This whole model looks great, but that glasswork, especially the broken bottle, is off the charts in my book!

Thank you for documenting your kit builds and walking us through them.

I'm happy my work has been appreciated!
These figure kits are alot of fun and I am already looking forward to my next build!

You have certainly raised the bar and taken things to another level. I am impressed with the progress and end result. On both your kits.

Re: The Bride of Frankenstein by MOEBIUS - (build thread)

I have never thought much about model figure kits until I saw your work. I love to see the updates. Hope you have another lined up after this one.

Despite the price tag, I may be getting the Aurora Box Art tribute kit of the Bride. It's just way too cool...and BIG!

Re: The Bride of Frankenstein by MOEBIUS - (build thread)

Your builds have me tempted to get a Rick Deckard figure kit i saw for sale and give it a try. Last one i tried was a vinyl and metal Dragonheart kit.

Finally, below are the photos of the finished kit.
Thank you all for your support and I look forward to my next build!

As a photograher you sure know how to capture the best of a picture. The photos (and the kit of course) look fantastic - and that final b&w pic just looks AMAZING. Great idea - it's almost like looking at a screencap from the movie. Congrats

Thank you for the compliments!
That last photo was a must! Just a quick switch to B&W in Photoshop and a smidgen of tinkering with the exposure value and It came out looking fairly close to a screencap from the film.

....wait, which was which, again? :lol

I've got the movie, so I just had to. :cool
I've got all of the '30s/'40s Universal horror movies, so I've been following this build since the start. Really amazing job too. You have a real talent for texture and detail.
