Speaking of Cad Bane....
Yeah that was a let down.. everyone does it though, they all dope. Hell even Froome got busted not too long ago..I used to be a huge fan of Lance Armstrong during the time frame when he was winning the Tour and had an autographed picture which I have since destroyed. Since then, I haven't pursued any autographs of celebrities as I learned my lesson. I don't really want to meet my heroes anymore...
Thank you for sharing

But if it’s not in the rule book is it considered cheating? Or beating the system?
Same thing is drag racing when there wasn’t a rule about using titanium parts.. they tried banning guys the day of the race, which they fault with “show me in the rule book it where it says we can’t use this alloy”
Sucks..
He did raise a lot of money. That was that attitude- everyone is doing it so it’s kind of a level playing field. I understand that mentality- I need to do this to stay in the sport, not win, literally just to stay competitive. A few people dropped out instead of doped but not the ones at the front.I love what Bill Burr said about it. It's a filthy sport & everyone was doping, so basically, OUR roided up guy beat YOUR roided up guy, & if nothing else, he raised millions of dollars for cancer research.
I don't know if it's true, but lore has it they didn't originally have a likeness agreement with Cushing, at least not an umbrella one, which is why he didn't have an action figure for over 20 years.Yeah, I think LFL basically owns your likeness when you sign on, at the least for all the merchandising. I will say I think I heard they got the blessing from Cushing's estate for use of his image in Rogue One. Not sure if that was just a courtesy or a requirement.
Love Dinosaurs, my name isOk, pet peeve time. As a dino nut, you should know that the proper way to abbreviate Tyrannosaurus rex is T. rex. This is because the proper, scientific, way to abbreviate any animal, plant, or microorganism's scientific name is to capitalize the first letter of the genus, followed by a period, then the species names in all lower case.
I heard if you have a vintage typewriter he's very nice...You realize you don't know these people at all but can still appreciate their work. It would crush me though if it turns out Tom Hanks is a horrible person. He's about the only actor I hold out hope for...
Is his mouth a little Too high...
He looks even better when the hat is low and covers all of his forehead.
Impressive!...As soon as we saw the new ship my son and I knew we had to have it in LEGO. Threw this together from random parts we had.

By far my favorite character poster so far.
Love the blowing sand across his clothes and hat.By far my favorite character poster so far.
There’s more competition on how to beat the system then their is actually doing the race lolI love what Bill Burr said about it. It's a filthy sport & everyone was doping, so basically, OUR roided up guy beat YOUR roided up guy, & if nothing else, he raised millions of dollars for cancer research.
Second that!By far my favorite character poster so far.
It’s called Icarus. Great documentary. I had no idea how prevalent it was until I saw that. There’s more competition on how to beat the system then their is actually doing the race lol
Like you said, they all do it. There was a great movie on Netflix about a Russian doctor helping a cyclist here cheat the system
Post Disney, are comics the same level of canon? I thought they put that in a sublevel of canon or something like that. Movies didn't have to stick to it, just other comics/books or something. And if it is canon, how can mess something that's already messed up to begin with?![]()
The Story Group was formed in 2008, well before Lucas sold the company to Disney. They were trying to massage and maintain continuity in the new stuff coming out after the Prequels, especially given how much was coming out in the late '00s.when disney bought star wars all books and comics were erased... i believe it was 2013 when the first book came out, heir to the jedi, and the shortly after the comics started. the lucas story group was formed and they controlled everything so there would NEVER be a continuity issue and the stories would all match
this is one of the main reasons i gave up on the EU because things always contradicted themselves, seeing a fresh start i figured now was the time to jump on board.
the comics and books were meant to be canon... but now... they are erasing things in pervious books, or changing small things.... its just not cool... so what is or isn't canon anymore?
the lucasfilm story group use to have a show after rebels answering questions, or were shown in a group on live stream answering questions or explaining plot holes (which weren't plot holes at the time, we just wanted answers)
i haven't seen them since ep8... once 9 came out i feel like it was so screwed up there was no repair...
I’m surprised at some of the stuff that is bugging people here. I guess I‘m just easier to please. I just want good Star Wars in any form and I’ve really enjoyed the last two episodes. So I’m good with that.
Overall? Only the people who are emotionally invested in Star Wars are being vocal, in either direction. Casual fans are largely silent, but I can point to anecdata. My parents took me with them when they went to see Star Wars in '77. I was a well-behaved two-year-old and it was fine. I don't remember much, but I remember some. My mom took me again when I was five and eight to see the next two, bought me a membership in the fan club, got me action figures and books and comics and model kits and Burger King glasses, and just generally supported my passion for it. The first thing I "helped" her sew, well before I soloed, was a Luke Skywalker flight suit for Halloween in second grade.I guess the question is how much is the sub par SW content really bothering people? Tone is sometimes difficult to convey and some seem to severely overestimate the amount of annoyance that is actually occurring lol. Idk, I guess I can only speak for myself when it comes to that.
I didn't like that whole storyline. But that was the worst part of it.Ironically, it’s when the comics showed Boba slaughtering innocent humans and Jawas on Tat in his search for Luke that I got turned off the comics.
Everyone has their head canon, but I don’t think anybody really thought of Boba as a psycho who murdered people who couldn’t give him the information he wanted.
I thought that if that concept was approved at multiple levels at LFL/Marvel, I probably wouldn’t be thrilled with whatever else they thought was a great idea.

Near as I can tell, he is how he seems. I have always been mindful that they're actual people, and generally don't like to make a scene or disrupt their routine. The ones I like I like for who they are. They're all human and flawed, but I don't gravitate to the deeply flawed ones. I had Peter O'Toole autograph his autobiography at a book store signing and it's still a prized possession. I have George Roubicek's and Nalini Krishan's autographed pictures from Celebration (Praji and Bariss Offee, respectively), because they're really cool people. Jeremy Bulloch signed my silver convention-exclusive Boba Fett when I was working at the Paizo booth that was selling them at SDCC (and that he was signing at), despite my not wanting to impose. He insisted. He was that kinda guy.You realize you don't know these people at all but can still appreciate their work. It would crush me though if it turns out Tom Hanks is a horrible person. He's about the only actor I hold out hope for...
So Duros' mouths migrate upward as they age? Who knew...?One thing I really haven't seen mentioned is that THIS Cad Bane is something like 30 years older than the last time we saw him in BB.
Nope... Their chins droop. So Duros' mouths migrate upward as they age? Who knew...?
