The Book of Boba Fett

I mean, it’s the end of ROTJ in its entirety. Yoda and Obi-Wan told Luke Vader killed his father so he would want to kill him. Once Luke learns the truth, they tell him his father is past saving. Luke rejects that idea, and it’s Anakin’s attachment to his son that allows him to pull out of the cloak of Vader and defy the Emperor. To me, I feel like Luke wouldn’t really be too happy with his Jedi mentors.
And it certainly didn't end well for any of them.. but then that's their narrow minded view maybe or the fact they had failed and seen a great many atrocities that Vader had committed..

The thing that is for sure going to be hated here (and many other places) is that this is still ST Luke they are presenting here. Hes going to fail and make mistakes as a teacher before becoming disillusioned with the Jedi way he was trained with. The best we can hope for is that focus on this less or they help show some logical progression that makes it more understandable at least.

Came here to post something very similar.

I think this episode undermined Luke's character much more than TLJ did. TLJ Luke, as much of a cynic as he was, was the kind of person you get when an impatient but-I-was-going-to-Toshi-station-to-pick-up-some-poooowwwerrrr-converrrrteeerrrrss kid faces real disappointment for the first time, ie a heartbroken idealist.

This Luke I don't know what the heck is going on. How he drank the Jedi cult Kool-Aid after saving his sister and redeeming his father through the power of his attachment is beyond me.

Worst part for me, as an audience member, is that I can't tell if the show is endorsing this philosophy or not. The prequels, as written, are powerful arguments against the Jedi philosophy, but Lucas is on record making it clear he meant it the other way, and if one thing is clear listening to Feloni in interviews, he's trying to stick to old Uncle George's worldviews.

So we get damned lectures about the dangers of attachment from a creative team that can't let a single legacy character go.

Hey, did you see Asoka again? And Cade Bane? Pretty cool! How about that Boba Fett? And the N-1! 'Member?

But attachment is against the Jedi way!
Watch Jedi..when we see Luke enter Jabbas Palace this is a New refined wise older man..the carefree hipster Luke disappears halfway through Empire..
Well with what he learns in that movie and that dark training from Yoda...
" which as a 13 Yr old was dam creepy "
No wonder we get a shift in his behaviour.
I always felt him slightly pompous in Jedi but by that point I wanted Solo to get it on with Leia ( Ha they actually did in real life during Empire)

He's older not necessarily wiser but would love Asoka to point out his failings..
She has after all seen it all before..

So maybe just an Easter egg, but maybe more.....
latest

Barriss Offee's crest is seen in Grogu's flashback.
Doesn’t work for me :(

That reminds me. Wasn't there a shot in ROTS where General Grievous has a Luke lightsaber?
Yeah it was cheaper to reused Anakin and obiwans lightsaber.. I think the other 2 are arena or clan sabers…

As far as we know she was imprisoned....but that could change.... Or that symbol could just be a fun easter egg. Somebody assisted Grogu.....and the Ahsoka series is coming up....
I feel like whoever took Grogu is a plot point that they’ve known for awhile, and that there are planning for the reveal. Filoni is good about things like that. Definitely don’t think we’ll get the answer in BoBF though.
