The Book of Boba Fett

I will tell you.. and im not being sarcastic.. back in 2016 I went through the hardest time in my life, a end of a serious relationship I had my life savings invested in and lost everything financially, my dad was diagnosed with very bad news.. my identity was stolen.. and people were flying all over the world on my dime.. I was working day and night 7 days a week to keep things afloat for my family and all I used to cope was looking forward to ep8…

I read every book every comic, soaking up all the new canon..

I finished legend of luke Skywalker novel IN LINE waiting to enter the theater to watch ep8..

It was the biggest hype I’ve ever had for a movie because I used it to escape the real world..

When I left the theater I was gutted.. shocked.. couldn’t even talk.. but now I was terrified because I didn’t have anything else to use to cope.. I didn’t care what happened next in ep9.. I couldn’t even begin to theorize because of the sh1t that was delivered to me just now in the theater

I’m being honest, 37 years old.. I crawled into bed after coming home from the theater and cried myself to sleep.. I would have never thought the movie would have been that much of a disappointment.. and now what do I use to escape this hell hold I’m living in..

And since then I refuse to ever hype a movie ever again in fear of being super disappointed

I went into solo not expecting much, figured j screw around with my buddy, have some pop corn, joke around and expect not much in return..and I really ended up enjoying it.

Since then I don’t read much about the movies, I don’t read spoilers, I try not to get excited or theorize anything anymore

Did the same thing for fett, I just can’t believe From what we got from mando to what was delivered the last 4 weeks.. big time shocker for me

I’m sorry you had to go through all that stuff. Sounds really hard and I completely get what a devastating experience that would be.

Im just hoping the rest of the series picks up and gives us some good moments we can all be excited about together.

Judging by some things Morrison has said recently in interviews.. it really really sounds like the book of fett was being written on the fly..

There is big speculation and I don’t know if I believe this.. but fett was a back up plan.. or fail safe if Pedro wouldn’t sign on for a season 3..

With that said the think tank came up with the book of fett real quick.. originally only a one off series.. I’m curious if they will go for a season 2..

Going back to my post on pacing...
I think this series should have been a movie instead.
It makes more sense and I can see what they are trying to replicate with the lingering David Lean desert shots which are great in a movie but a 40 minute episode if that is Bonkers and feels like time wasted.


I dont know about you guys but I'm always checking my watch to see how long has it got left..this short time frame always has me on the edge of my seat but for the wrong reasons..

It feels like even the early Larry Buster Crabb serials were longer lol..


And Halliwax Dude been there...
It gets better and glad to have the power of the SW community and this great forum to chat shoot the breeze from way across the pond..

I heard the same. I think they knew Mandalorian S3 was going to miss a year and tried to get this going due to the insane reception from the Mandalorian S2 finale.

You can see the nuggets of good ideas and moments in this show. There are actually a lot of them. But I feels like it lacks the focus or polish of Mandalorian.

It makes me happy, even if it’s a few years later, to see that more and more people are comfortable admitting they liked Solo. I get it if you don’t feel like it’s the same character, but that movie told a competent story in an entertaining manner either way.

And it felt like the SW universe too...
You could engage with the characters.
Shame it got dragged behind That other mess...

Would have loved to see him being in bossk 4LOM zuckass dengar and IG as the muscle.. but it’s looking like we will get a mando cameo.. maybe we will see the dark saber again..

See I’ve always said “if you see me checking my watch the movie sucks” I have always said this because usually I’m zoned in, I can’t keep track of time when watching a good movie. It keeps you tuned in

Funny you say this!! There was 3 guys on here (I won’t use names) but they always fought with one another an destroyed each thread they were in.. every single thread turned into a ep8 debate.. there was name calling all sorts of crap

I didn’t post how I felt about solo for a looooooong time.. I think until all of them got banned to be honest.. because I didn’t want to lose communication with them on other topics we enjoyed talking about

I worried time and time again if im being too negative.. I don’t want to come off like how they did back then

Because it sucked the life and energy out of the thread.. and I certainly don’t want that

So maybe its just me.... Is all of the audio the 'bad guys' yell during the Slave I hanger scene just reused audio clipped in from the episode of The Mandalorian with the explosives transport? Chapter 15 "The Beleiver" I think? They're all yelling the same weird stupid thing as those guys when they're attacking Boba

This episode at least provided some explanation for his actions. He has plans and is putting the pieces together. Darth Elevator is right (again)- many ideas in the show make sense written down but don’t flow well. Also numerous comments on the pacing of the show- just not good at all (with or without flashbacks). The choice of music at the Mod shop was very odd- I expected Trinity to walk up to Boba. The scene chasing the small droid was supposed to be an injection of humor but what a waste of time. They did show a very revengeful and angry man which will likely build through the end. The drama and tension just isn’t there (yet?)

It was mentioned but it’s almost impossible to keep track of all the posts. Usagi Pilgrim son was over the moon hearing the Mando theme!
