The Book of Boba Fett

Well here is some fun speculation for you guys, I haven't seen anyone mention it so far.....

The end audio plays mando's little theme. Is that a tease for a Mando cameo next episode.....have fun with that one.
100% we will see mando in this again.. I was seriously hoping when she mentioned hiring muscle they were talking about zuckuss 4LOm, IG, Bossk and dengar

I believe dengar was on the sailbarge though..

I thought Boba KNOWS it’s the Pykes that took out the Tuskens, it’s just that he REALLY doesn’t like the biker gang and it’s an excuse to kill them.
I’m thinking the Pykes helped the KS take out the tribe. Fennec is right - 12 of those bikers can take out a hardened Tusken tribe with ease? No. But there’s a reason Boba still picked the KS off; they’re complicit on some level.

But honestly, why would a crime syndicate like the Pykes need or want to pay protection money to a dozen or so trash bikers on a jerkwater planer like Tatooine? The Pykes have the resources to squash the KS and the DS Tuskens like bugs, and install their own protection force.

So that makes me wonder if the KS were in the Pykes’ pocket all along - i.e., the Pykes weren’t paying them “protection money.” The KS were hired by the Pykes to stir up trouble, gather advance intel in prep of a takeover of the planet, and/or soften any potential resistance to said takeover.

The best thing at episode 4 was...why the hell Boba used always this ultraslow Bantha when he saw something intersting in the distance. This thing is so slow that a slug looks like using lighspeed. :D

And this Kids....man,this looks not like StarWars..looks like Cyberpunk or something.

And about the mando music....I think we could also see the Mandalorians from the first season again.

yeah but is it really so much to do a "whats a Slave I" or "Whats a Mirabelle??" line to which he can just point *that* or say "my ship"?
Like i feel this is simple screenwriting and even world building stuff that is just being chopped all for the benefit of what exactly?

The Clones are still literally a brainwashed Child Slave army of tan people at the end of the day... especially now that Filoni went and made the "chip" as the reason they do 'the bad thing' so they can have fun adventures and individuality rather than them basically being 'drones' and their training and environmental conditioning being the reason for their loyalty... and Episode I still has rampant slavery on Tatooine..
Should rename her 'Clone I'

The virtue signaling is starting to trip over itself
But why bother, what Boba calls his ship is irrelevant to the plot, and calling it by its class name makes rather than his personal name for it makes perfect sense. It's what I'd likely do in the same situation and probably what everyone else here would too. Besides, with the way some here complain about every little aspect of this show, they'd probably complain about a "What's a Slave I?" line too. They'd probably say that it was too corny or cheesy of a line and should have just said to look for a Firespray instead.

In regards to the clones, true, they're all clones of the same person and their childhood and initial training were the same, doesn't mean that they're perfect Xerox copies of one another. You have to remember that they had accelerated growths which means that while they may have been physically mature, they probably weren't fully mentally mature yet. This means that part of their personalities would have been shaped by their experiences during the Clone War and by the Jedi generals they served under. It's also entirely possible that the Kaminoans(sp?) that created the clones and oversaw their growth and development might have treated each clone a little differently from each other without realizing it and thus creating slight differences in their personalities.

Yeah when he was watching the fight with Fennec and the Mando I thought "Well he'll get there in an hour or so..." Not to mention they are supposed to be herbivores and he fed it meat...

I also don't like the cyberpunk people. There are cybernetics in SW obviously, but these guys look out of place. Again, maybe if this was on Coruscant or a more of a metropolis, it would work. Tatooine, not so much. My nephew said "I want all of this cyber gang to die..."

Have you ever thought that the symbol used on the tusken hutt and moisture farm hut was not to represent the biker gang but maybe a person they work for? We have all been saying we haven't seen the female Tusken (maybe her death is implied) but maybe he recognizes that symbol as in relation to an actual person?

Maybe? It’s a good possibility

Anyone wonder where the mayor is right now? The taxi driver is supposedly singing like a bird

In the audio descripion track for Chapter 3, the graffiti is described as a stylized Huttese symbol. It translates into the Huttese “K”, which I guess would ostensibly stand for “Kintan.”

But the symbol is also two images that mirror each other. Like “twins,” maybe? A bit of a stretch, but not impossible.

And I’m still not sure why the slaughter scene made reference to the child and the chieftain, but absolutely no reference to the Woman whatsoever.

Don't overthink it... it's just a seven episode TV show made about a character with 6 minutes of screen time in the entire original trilogy.

(He said with a straight face, as he looks at his nearly complete 25 year project/full sized ROTJ Fett in the corner of the room.)

So now… I’m trying to find a quote between favreau and Filoni.. it was on one of the Disney gallery specials

Anyway.. I got to a part where they say it’s eve-9d9 from jabbas palace now working inside the original cantina..

Times must be real tough now that he’s working two jobs.. kitchen staff in the palace and bar tender in the cantina

I mean its fine.. i guess… but what’s the excuse when it comes to the Falcon?
Slave I was supposed to have an equally known reputation across the galaxy in that its unique shape struck fear into Bobas prey, indicative of who was about to capture and/or kill them..
Fennec knows who Boba is.. is it such a strech that she knows the equally fearsome reputation of his ship?

As for the clones, my point is that, in making it so they have fun individual personalities and everything in order to go on Filonis gleeful idiotic adventures it simultaneously makes the fact the Republic and Jedi are essentially slavers all the worse…
In EII and EIII you could argue they’re largely brainwashed human ‘drones’, but now that they’re individuals, with their own unique personalities and active abilities to make decisions or become ‘their own person’, why exactly are they dying in droves for the republic and jedi with smiles on their faces? What is their actual goal? Do they ever ask themselves?
Do they have the option to leave if they want?

This is a serious morality issue now with Filonis StaWars that really didn’t exist in the PT as they were presented
Meanwhile Disney SW is getting all “ewww” about the word, simultaneously ignoring the actual action of it present in their media

To be fair, the moral problems of the Clone army, as well as the decision to give the clones distinct personalities, were all “baked into the cake” before Disney bought the IP.

TCW does touch upon whether or not the clones’ service can truly be called “voluntary” if they were literally bred and brainwashed to serve since birth. Like, can you say they had a choice if they are programmed into believing they choose to serve?

And you’re right - the Jedi do soft-pedal the issue. Like, “we would never, ever hire cloners to create sentient beings meant to serve as cannon fodder …. buuuuuut since the clones are already here, we’ll use them all the same!” Shame on the Jedi and shame on the Republic for going along with it. At least the CIS bought droids instead of buying humans for their military force.

But without getting into politics (please!), let’s not conflate the moral problems of our space fantasy with the reasons Disney decided to back off the name “Slave I” IRL. Literally, two different universes.

Oh yeah: "The Gathering Storm" is a cliche title, used only as a joke for decades. Seeing it used unironically here doesn't reflect well upon the awareness of the writing staff.
