It was a "caper" movie. The fate of the galaxy didn't hang in the balance. No clash between "good" and "evil". It aimed low, in a good way, and it delivered.
The one thing that drove me *******-*******-insane on the internet when "Solo" came out: "he doesn't look/sound like Harrison Ford."
NO ******* **** HE DOESN'T LOOK/SOUND LIKE HARRISON FORD, BECAUSE HE'S NOT HARRISON FORD. EVEN HARRISON FORD NO LONGER LOOKS/SOUNDS LIKE OT HARRISON FORD! IS ALL YOU WANT FROM A HAN SOLO MOVIE A HARRISON-FORD-AT-34 LOOK-ALIKE/SOUND-ALIKE? SWEET *****!!!
No, Ehrenreich doesn't have Ford's charm, but does anybody? I thought he did a fine job in following up an impossible-to-follow act.
And maybe it's just me, but this - the veiled triumph in AE's read, the ****-eating grin - was my favorite line from the whole movie, hands-down:

God, he has been telling that story for years now.
There are tons of good Harrison Ford impersonators out there. But for real, is that what you want someone in a Han Solo film to do - impersonations for two hours?
And remember that this was being filmed a year ago... during the Pandemic, when vaccines were not widely available yet. So I am sure that put a lot of kinks in the production process, slowed things down, required a lot of remote work, and affected the way the show was shot, assembled/edited.
To me, since they have NOT left Tatooine yet (and looks like they probably won't), the show seems smaller somehow. I'm enjoying it, but it has been a VERY slow burn.
Now, if in the final three episodes we get Mando (STRONGLY hinted at by the musical cues) and deep-fakes of Han/Leia and Luke, then we are in for a wild ride.

Mando season 2 was made during the start of the pandemic and it came out fine so I don't think they can pull a pandy wandy excuse.
The only thing they can do now is say that they thought what they were making was awesome. People didn't like it and that's how it goes.

Not on Disney+, I’m guessing.
Trandoshans may or may not bleed... but they can grow their limbs back. Screen Crush mentions that BK was most likely enraged at the Trandoshans in the casino because Trandoshans were known to hunt Wookiees for their pelts (Remember the Wookiee pelt the head Trandoshan offers Fett as tribute in the first episode). And BK knew that I he ripped the arm off of one, it would grow back.
I really enjoyed Solo... but much like BOBF, it was a story we didn't need to see. It seemed to be a setup for something more, Crimson Dawn, the return of Darth Maul... which we got in animated form, I guess.

I thought Boba KNOWS it’s the Pykes that took out the Tuskens, it’s just that he REALLY doesn’t like the biker gang and it’s an excuse to kill them.
