The Book of Boba Fett

Do we know why the Pykes in this look different than the ones in Solo that had flat backs to their heads? Doesn’t seem like the same species.

My goodness, we are on page 57 (it was 56 two minutes ago) of a thread regarding a show with two episodes. This is an amazing series if it has fostered this much discussion. To review, we have bantered (Banthad?) on about the Hutts, Tusken tribes and fashion,Visionquests, psychedelic lizards, gaffi sticks, Lawrence of Arabia, the deleted Luke and Biggs scene, Slave 1, Bib, the Mayor, Jabba’s band, palace and garage, Fennec, sail barges, McQuarrie, Jennifer Beals, a little bit about Boba Fett plus many other topics to numerous to mention. Holy cow!
But we are bonding!!!

One thing I just noticed:

Is it just me, or does it kinda seem like Boba is only interested in Jabba’s holdings on Tatooine, particularly Mos Espa - i.e., he’s not interested in the off-world stuff?

Even if Jabba chose to live on Tat, I would assume he has hold over systems far more valuable and important than Tatooine. Why does he introduce himself to the Twins as daimyo of just Mos Espa? Why is Boba so focused on this jerkwater city on this jerkwater planet?

Is his power-grab actually more about protecting the more peaceful tribes of Tatooine?
I may be way off the mark. But I keep going back to Lawrence of Arabia. As he unites the Arabs and wants to take Damascus for them. Perhaps Boba is wanting take Most Espa for the locals. Rather then be ruled over and abused by the criminal underworld?

.
i dont need to know where yoda came from either, but i honestly wouldn't mind if they demasked... i always wondered if they were just tall jawas LOL
As a Child of 11 I thought the same thing :D

I remember when Ben took his cloak hood off I thought oh he's just an old man not some Creature.
Wasn't very interested in him in SW ( Ep1,a new hope) until Cantina scene then he got killed on the Deathstar..
I got the figure only cos Luke needed a companion in his Landspeeder ( which was a Cereal box at the time)
Obviously as I got older and Empire fleshed him out
Always felt strange playing with a Dead figure, what im trying to say is sometimes its needed sometimes not..
I would certainly like to see more of Rebels Stormtroopers...imagine if they brought those guys into Canon.
I dont think we have ever really seen it from a Stormtroopers eyes
It could be called
"From A certain point of view"

Finn doesnt really count as he defected..or maybe a decent fleshed out back story with JB ?

Exactly!

You’re on to something.. they could do a stormtroopers point of view.. do what cobra Kai did with Johnny Lawrence.. showing his side of the story

Thanks to a good friend I was ale to watch Book of Boba Fett episodes, this because there is no disney+ in my country. Anyway I like in the second episode the story behind the Tuskens, the connection with Temuera's real ancestry, and also the building scene connected to that classic Ralph McQquarrie's desert image. And Jennifer Beals looks superb.

We still haven’t talked about the most important thing in this series so far:

Who is more annoying, the mayor’s majordomo or the mayor’s receptionist?

Did the mayor’s office hire these guys based on unlikability? Maybe they just interview really well...
Walmart return desk clerk:

angry customer comes up to the mayors receptionist..."ok i'm done with you, i want to see the manager

out comes Majordomo in a walmart vest and nametag..lol (apologies, apologies)

So I think this is interesting, but not my original idea...

With the lizard, tree, & 'vision quest', are we seeing a non-Jedi side of the Force?

Not to bring up a divisive topic, but I like the was Luke explained the Force in TLJ, which was more inline with how Yoda explained it in TESB. I've heard the thought that since we've seen no indigenous vegetation on the planet, no one actually knows where those 2 trees are. One has to be LED there by 'the Force'. That would fit with the idea of the Force connecting everything without it being a Jedi/Sith thing.

Also, with the title of the episode being 'Tribes of Tattooine', could the big tree & small tree represent the Tuskens & Jawas?

Just some new things to discuss.

I said that too about the lizard...and the fact that at the end of his trial got to build his own "lightsaber"(gaffi) ...just how it felt to me at the time i watched it. Great point about the Tuskens and Jawas!!!

when i think about a tree and a branch , i think that they have the same roots, if the same roots then the exact same seed..maybe divisions within the Tuskens? idk

2 trees=2 different peoples
1 branch of 1 tree=division of 1 people or (a sect out of a people)

maybe, maybe they have a tiny peanut sized head like at the end of Beetle Juice.
I'm now actually thinking of Pee Wee's Big Adventure and the reveal of Large Marge. "And when they pulled the driver's body from the twisted, burning wreck, it looked like this!"
