The Book of Boba Fett

Agreed. I highly doubt Boba gets his robes and then nothing interesting happens to him for the next four years. Clearly, some bad blood developed between him and Bib in the meantime.
So ..what bad blood between Boba and Bib( hey, that was great alliteration..completely unintentional..lol). Bib thought Boba died in the Sarlacc...next time he sees Boba, gets shot. Are you saying Bib may have killed some Tuskens that he was close to? Just wondering

That's the funny thing. Even though this tribe is said not to be one of the ones that survives by killing, they still maintain their fighting skills at a high level and are ready to RESPOND to violence if provoked. Kind of like Chinese monks who have chosen to be peaceful by nature, but have high-level fighting skills.
I would consider this tribe to be aggressive. They take slaves, that's pretty aggressive.

I like this..I think we all assumed Boba showing up and just offing Bib was a succinct way of showing how bad-@ss Boba was, and that he was taking over. It would be cool to see that there was a deeper reason.

Well Tusken was a human settlement, or used to be. As for what they call themselves, I don't know. Sandpeople seems reasonable to me although we know basically nothing of their origins. Were their ancestors actually on Tatooine when there were oceans or did they just know there had been oceans at one time? Even if they were there, I'm guessing the oceans dried up eons ago, so they could've adopted the sandpeople perjorative in the millennia since?

I still personally think Tuskens are aggressive but it's all relative. Some might just take slaves and beat them a little while others may flay people alive.

I'm assuming there is. I mentioned a while back I wouldn't be surprised if Bib pops up in the flashbacks. We know Fett goes back to the palace to retrieve Slave I and Bib presumably would've been in charge then. He does say that he thought Fett was dead and acted like he hadn't seen him since the sarlacc but I dunno.

I think some tragedy occurs which motivates Boba to leave them. If they were wiped out by gangs or the criminal element, it would make sense he'd want to rule Tatooine and make it better. Right now, the way things are going, it makes no sense for him to want to leave. He seemingly loves it with them and has a home.

I guess my thought is: at the point when Boba fell into the Sarlacc, what beef did he have with Bib? Bib didn’t double-cross Boba, and wasn’t even on the Khetanna when things went sideways.

I think for Boba to show up in the palace and shoot Bib point-blank like that (and Bib seemed really frightened to see him), something must have happened between Bib and Boba (and/or his tribe) over that five-year period.

I don’t understand the conjecture about the female Tusken being Fennec. Why does the female Tusken have to be anybody in particular?

One of the things I disliked most about TROS was the ****-canning of Johnson’s idea that Rey was nobody, and the next super-powerful Force-user could come from anywhere, not just from an existing bloodline. Kind of like “Ratatouille”’s theme of “not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere.” I loved that, and it pissed me off that Abrams, Terrio and Kennedy wiped their ass with it.

Just let a great character be a great character in and of themselves. Every new character doesn’t have to be a callback or a connection to a previous character, y’know?
I think you are being a little presumptuous about the female tusken being a great character already in 2 episodes since we know nothing about her except that she trains and slaps Boba...just as much as I'm being presumptuous in believing she MIGHT be Fennec. Fennec, to me is already a great character...if somehow she did pull this off it would enhance Fennecs character not diminish it. This whole thread is conjecture...thats the fun of it...not to take opinions too personally. I will admit...im rarely ever right in my thoughts about shows and movies so that works well for you in this case...lol. Only thing i called on day 1 of Mandalorian was that Luke was going to appear ...Anyways, who cares. Most of you have blown my aging mind away with your knowledge of Star Wars..its really fun.

I guess it depends on your point of view. Slavery or a quick death? which would you choose? Long drawn out mental and physical torture or just lights out.
I think the Tuskens, by default, view humans and other civilized species that frequent the settlements of Tattooine as enemies who likely want to harm them.

When they encountered Boba in the desert, they were taking an enemy as a prisoner. One they would subject to some maltreatment and forced labor. But not necessarily a slave they intended to repeatedly torture. Big difference.

Yeah I think our band of Tuskens is gonna meet a tragic end. I am a little surprised Fett doesn't seem at all motivated to return to business as usual. I guess the death of this tribe could be the motivation to move on.

I would like to see the Tuskens have a self identifier that translated to “people of the sea” which became corrupted by common usage after the oceans dried, leaving people to assume they were referring to the Dune Sea and therefore sand e.g Sand People.

At the time I just assumed it meant Fett had never liked him and he could now get rid of him with impunity. The fact Bib was alive at all is still a little silly to me. He was definitely on the sail barge.

Thank you, my mind is swirling...lol

I’m not taking anything personally. I just said I didn’t understand it.

Clearly, they are positioning the character to be very important to the flashback storyline. Just let her be that kick-ass Tusken warrior.

Like, should Garsa Fwip be Oola’s sister or Bib’s daughter? Should Mok Shaiz be Momaw Nadon’s childhood best friend? Again, not everybody has to be connected, y’know?

What’s the timeline for things popping off in the sailbarge vs the actual destruction? Couldn’t a group of survivors have bolted at the first sign of danger? Jumped in some skiff or lifeboat
