Yeeeeah, that definitely isn’t a flattering look at the costume. I never have liked the black. The blue and green jetpack is kinda ugly and those boots just look gaudy. It’s a crying shame they didn’t just go with the Mythos look for an evolved, more “mature” Fett. They could’ve easily adapted tan “Tuskan robes” into that look.

I don't think that Fett is necessarily becoming a good guy in this new series. At the same time, I don't think that he was ever truly a bad guy either. it's just for some reason fans associated bounty hunters with being bad guys. I've always seen Boba Fett, and most other bounty hunters as being neutral and would just as readily work for the Rebellion as they would for the Empire if the price was right and wasn't something that would get them in trouble with the Empire. You have to figure that all of the bounty hunters that we saw in Empire, including Fett, probably killed or captured as many legitimate criminals as they did dissidents or smugglers.
It's the no cod piece that kinda throws it off I think. Then again it makes the actor more mobile.
I completely agree. Back when I watched The Walking Dead, a couple friends & I would discuss if Rick's group would still be good guys if we saw them from another point of view. I think they explored that in the Negan arc, but my point was, if Fett hadn't been sent after 'our heroes', would he still be considered a bad guy. Same thing with Mando
Makes me think of the I AM LEGEND novel where you find out that the hero you've been following is actually the monster.

to play devils advocate, one could say Fett's ROTJ jetpack isn't the prettiest being yellow, red, white, blue etc. (I actually don't mind ROTJ's pack, but my fav is the simpler ESB pack coloring). I also personally don't mind this latest rendition on his jetpack, kinda a mixup between ESB's + Jango's pack. I definitely like his overall look here better than Mando season's 2 ill-fitting bulky costume, but my fav's will always be the OT look, ESB first.
