The Book of Boba Fett

Agreed. Other than the Vespa teens/Mod stuff, there hasn't been anything I just hated. For me it all wavers between "just okay to good"... with the non-Fett episodes being pretty great in my book. I just didn't anticipate how uninteresting they'd make Fett himself be.
honestly what bothered me more then the vespa crew was slave1 vs the sarlacc... id watch the vespa rangers over that any day...

Exactly this. I haven’t truly hated anything but that stupid chase scene. I just would never have expected silent Tusken Raiders to be better characters than Boba

I’m surprised at some of the stuff that is bugging people here. I guess I‘m just easier to please. I just want good Star Wars in any form and I’ve really enjoyed the last two episodes. So I’m good with that.

Even the earlier episodes were mostly just boring to me. Not a crime against humanity or anything.

I agree as well. There’s certainly stuff - a good bit of stuff, if I’m being honest - that I think could have been done differently/better, but there’s nothing I hate. Not even the Mods.

Frankly, the biggest criticism I have of BoBF is the same I had for The Mandalorian - eps are too few, and too short, and the story suffers for it.

There’s a difference between “tight” storytelling, and “rushed” storytelling. And there is very little in BoBF that couldn’t be fixed with an extra 10 minutes added to each ep to fill in the glaring blanks.

I am just slightly upset that they took this mysterious, cool character and used him as a transition. For no other reason than drawing people into the series with the name while they regained their footing with Mando. I have no other reason for TBOBF at this point. Again, I expect he will have some kind of “I am the man” moment this Wednesday to justify this inconsistency but this whole thing is very puzzling.

you hit the nail on the head

Did it really “struggle” with Lando, though? It seemed to have a pretty firm hold on him until the blaster bolt. And it was digesting other guys at the same time, so it wasn’t, like, fully focused on Lando. And it seemed like Lando’s was one of the smaller tentacles vs. the big daddies that grabbed Slav…I mean, the Firespray.

Believe me, I wish that “Sarlacc tentacle continuity”* was the biggest gripe I had with the show.

* - that sounds vaguely dirty, doesn’t it?

I think you are right about what’s going to happen on Wednesday, but after Boba just kind of “careening about” for the first four eps, I’m not sure an “I’m the man” moment will feel like it’s earned, y’know?

The only way I can think of it feeling earned will be what I’ve said all along - “present-day” Boba’s been playing “rope-a-dope” the entire time. Acting like a bit of a deer in the headlights in terms of navigating the Tatooine underworld, when in reality, he had a master plan all along to get revenge against the Pykes (and everyone in cahoots with them), and his stumbling around was just a ruse to get all the players in place.

I really don’t think that’s what we’ll wind up seeing, but maybe. Or maybe Jon and RR have something else up their sleeve that’ll make Wednesday super-satisfying.

But whatever happens, there better be some serious ass-kicking on Boba’s part. Like, ass-kicking that makes “The Tragedy” pale in comparison. Ass-kicking involving Cad Bane.

These are my thoughts exactly. Unless he's been playing dumb this whole season, drops the benevolent facade and has some clever master plan, I'm not sure they can really make up for the rest in this finale. Seeing that cold blooded killer that Bane mentioned would be nice for starters. That alone confirms that he does indeed have a reputation as someone not to be trifled with that isn't just a fan concoction.

Cad Bane's live action appearance was just dripping with quiet menace. Give us more of that with Fett. Combine Cad Bane with Mando and that should be the Boba Fett I'd like to see. Kinda ridiculous to even say given that Boba Fett existed long before either of them but here we are. Lol

Maybe in the Finale Boba will faceplant Clone I into the Sarlacc again because he realizes the cod piece is still down there...

Fennec - "What are you doing? Didn't we do this already?"

BoJango - "The Cod was my Fathers... Now it's mine!"

*Proceeds to ram Slav... er... Proceeds to ram 'Clone I' into sand over and over again" (forgive me Disney )
*Windshield cracks and breaks, BoJango falls out of his seat and back into pit, girly scream and all, but this time without armor.. *
