The Book of Boba Fett

Maybe in the Finale Boba will faceplant Clone I into the Sarlacc again because he realizes the cod piece is still down there...

Fennec - "What are you doing? Didn't we do this already?"

BoJango - "The Cod was my Fathers... Now it's mine!"

*Proceeds to ram Slav... er... Proceeds to ram 'Clone I' into sand over and over again" (forgive me Disney )
*Windshield cracks and breaks, BoJango falls out of his seat and back into pit, girly scream and all, but this time without armor.. *

Didn't he kill the Sarlacc though ?
Maybe he just likes dank dark spaces..

Agreed. Other than the Vespa teens/Mod stuff, there hasn't been anything I just hated. For me it all wavers between "just okay to good"... with the non-Fett episodes being pretty great in my book. I just didn't anticipate how uninteresting they'd make Fett himself be.
I think the question is..
Are we glad we got more Boba or not... despite all our nit picks and wants, do we wish we had never had this series or not.
I personally like the expansion of Tatooine and the characters and sub stories. Think of TBOBF more of a History of a specific place in a specific time frame..
Tatooine is The planet farthest from the two suns was it ? So that makes it a great place for many a despot to hide travel and generally disappear from prying eyes..
Boba is speaking less..
Allowing others to shine
As I mentioned before it wouldn't work Boba just being Hitman of the Week..
There might be, well probably is an Arc and we just need to wait to see if there is a conclusion next week( I think it will continue)
The main gripe though like All these series Marvel included is the run time..
It can't be cost... Disney are minted.
I know it was initially announced as a Limited series.. but seven Ep of give or take 35 minutes is very hard to pull off.
I really hope E7 is much longer..no faff and an All out Guns blazing affair. We have seen flashes of the Old Boba but want to see more..

As others have said Boba and Fennec will probably be the Laverne and Shirley of the SW world poping up all over the shop..

Idk dude, that things some weird ass plant like animal... Who knows what kinda damage its capable of coming back from.. also No One's Ever Really Gone
True that!

In the DK book of Everything SW its like 80 foot in depth under the sand but whoever scribed the book has very childish sounding answers for parts of costumes etc.. Breathing Nodules Ha!

Although I don't hate the series, with the way they've written it, I would've been fine if it had never happened. Boba himself has been mostly a bore and that's who I tuned in to see. The flashbacks were the best part but nothing there was "must see TV" as far as I'm concerned. The Mando stuff has been great but I'm not counting that. Almost all of that should've been in season 3.

Agreed..
In some respects it would have been better to call it
" Welcome To Tatooine "
And had characters tell their tales..

As much as I like him too..

If he never took his helmet off again would we really know..
Synthesise a similar voice and Vola!

I bet the House of Mouse hasn't thought this already..
Depending on the contract he signed up for.. only reason we are getting deep fake luke is because of Hamill’s permission

If they didn’t get the permission Hamill’s family could make a lot of money right now lol

George mcfly is the one who started this back in back to the future 2, when they didn’t hire him and used prosthetics to make the new actor look like him

But since Pedro most likely signed over his likeness for action figures.. I bet that falls under something like that..

I don't think we needed the series to be called TBOBF as he has become almost secondary to the plot and that is where most of my confusion has arisen. If this was The Mandalorian, season 3, my brain would had adjusted more easily. I don't mind seeing Boba, but I really think he was meant to be a supporting character. His presence in Mando season 2 was very cool but he wasn't the focus either. He could have stayed that way and that would have been great. Also, the quick introduction and then death of some characters (Tuskens, Madam Garsa) seems to represent the rushed nature of this series - they didn't have the time (or want to make the time) to fully explore their stories. We saw a large cast support the story with intermittent appearances in Mando (Migs, The Armorer, IG-11, Cara, Greef) and you get an attachment to them over time. I haven't felt that with the episodes focused on Boba (but we haven't had much time with him either).

I’ve never been one of those guys who care about ‘the story’ of an incidental character. When Mando was throwing Jawas off of the sand crawler, I wasn’t wondering if any of them had families, investment opportunities, if they were taking online classes, etc

Yes, agreed. I think to the question of “Are we glad we got more Boba or not?”, how much Boba did we really get?

There was a lot of Tem in the first four eps, but did we get much of what we tuned in for?

I get that the show is about a cathartic turning point in Boba’s life, and his attempt to forge a new path for himself. I am 100% behind that concept, and I really liked the conversation he and Fennec had about building something for themselves vs. being hired guns for idiots.

But while flashback Boba has some cool moments (Pyke train, Tosche station, Sarlacc, taking out the Kintan Striders), present-day Boba just seems so … inert. He doesn’t do things. Things happen to him. And that just seems bass-ackward.

Not that the show shouldn’t flesh out his character and have quieter, reflective moments - it doesn’t have to just be an endless loop of his ”guns a-blazin’” stuff from “The Tragedy” - but I don’t think anyone expected present-day Boba to be so passive.

Still not convinced that Garsa is dead, though. ;)

Coming soon in The Mandalorian, season 3, we explore Peli Motto’s relationship with the Jawas - they laugh, they love, they live…
