The Amazing Spiderman (Reboot) Costumes and Wardrobe

For those of you still asking about the hoodie Pete's wearing in the skateboarding montage scene, we found that one a while back.

It's the American Apparel California Fleece Thermal-Lined London Hoodie in Slate/Black.

If you compare the two photos, you'll see it's a perfect match.

this is almost exact but petes has no drawstring or wholes where the drawstring couled be removed :)

nothing just thats its not the "the cure"hoodie and that its from the beginning and like you said that it is different...

TheCruserBoy suggested that the "The Cure" hoodie might actually be the same hoodie as the navy one Peter wears throughout the movie, and that we just hadn't seen the navy hoodie from the back (where the logo would be located).

I replied with a picture of Peter's navy hoodie from the back, because I wanted to make sure the "The Cure" hoodie and that one, weren't the same.

I really don't understand what you're getting at.

That would've been pretty cool, but they seem to be two quite different hoodies, as there's no "The Cure" logo to be seen on his navy hoodie:

I remembered as soon as I posted that, that scene and i couldn't remember if there was a logo on the back or not. I stick by what i said then, that they mislaid/damaged/stained the hoody for that scene and just found a spare one. I also still think it is a Stand Up to Cancer hoody as the font is very similar and i'm pretty sure Marc Webb is a supporter. :)

Oh.
Yeah, that's possible. :)

I think we talked to each other over....no reason to start writing a agressive text..and I dont know why either...
But anyway sorry !

Actually it does have a drawstring and holes, as you can see in the screengrab below.

That's the most accurate hoodie I've found and, considering that a lot of his other clothing is American Apparel, it's a safe bet that's it...or at least a different version of it. The only difference is that the one they carry now has a black inner hood and Pete's does not. My guess is that it's an older version of the same design...AA re-releases a lot of the same designs with small changes considering that they only do basics.

Probably the most accurate one so far, yes. But honestly, I'm not too sure if the one Peter wears is a AA.

I understand that companies tend to make small changes to their stuff, but the AA one's got raglan sleeves; something Peter's hoodie definitely hasn't got.

Also, the black thermal lining isn't just in the hood-area. I suppose they could've removed it for the movie, but then again; the raglan sleeves...

The AA does however make a great replica.

Good eye, I wouldn't have noticed that.

Has anyone verified the hoodie (?) Peter's wearing here?
What the logo actually says, is obviously pretty hard to make out thanks to the motion blur, but does anyone at least recognize the logo/font?

I dont know why but I still think that it has to do with the band....
Maybe this font is different from the picture with the hoodie but a PP whos listening to Ramones and is more on the Rocker Style could also listen to the Cure (goes in the same direction like Ramones...)

Yeah, you got me there on the raglan sleeves and thermal lining. And doubtful they removed it...seems impractical for a Costume Designer to do so when it's just as easy to find a hoodie that doesn't have that lining and fits the look they want.

Still, in my opinion, it's likely an older AA hoodie that they don't make anymore or maybe one from another basics clothing designer...I've relegated my search to companies like American Apparel & Alternative Apparel (which a few of his tshirts and thermals are by), etc. since most other companies (even ones that design a lot of basics) slap a logo on their stuff or use other easily discernible trademarks.

Yeah, it could probably be an older AA model, or such.

On another note, I discovered something about the thermals; Uncle Ben's killer wears the exact same grey thermal as the one Peter wears. And since he doesn't wear a t-shirt over it, I managed to get a little closer look at it.

I'm not too sure it's an American / Alternative Apparel thermal. It resembles the American Apparel thermal slightly more than the Alternative, mainly because of the flimsy seam at the bottom of the garment, but is still much thicker looking.

Sometimes I wish was better at finding similarities, than differences... :wacko

i see a fake or a very unimaginative re design it has the rami brick pattern and a horrible spider i cant for a second believe this is real and hope i am right i think someone just photoshoped the eyes and some of the rami pattern onto another ASM pic the blue looks ASM red and webs look rami eyes look new

spidermansmallnew.jpg

I wouldt changed the spider on the costume from the old one and its ok to make bigger eyes but that gold was pretty cool so but In generall its different from Raimies I think the web on the suit is different I think...
