Hey guys,
Some of you may have seen that I did a post a few days ago of my PP Jansport Slacker bag. Some of you may have seen it a pages back, but here it is with more accurate ladderlock buckles. I didn't have to order any, I just nabbed them from my old Quiksilver backpack from school. They look much better even though I said I wasn't so bothered about the 100% movie-accuracy thing but like I said, I already had them so I went with it.
Also, I thought I'd share my PP camera strap as well since I managed to find one online. They're more common than you think : But yeah, I've hooked it onto my Olympus 35mm as I don't really need another 35mm camera. Also, a lot of the Yashica's you can buy online or either stupidly expensive or they just don't work. :O Just thought I'd share!

I got my pp yashica for 25 bucks just a straight win and it works too i just got lucky and my dad used to have the strap i found it in some old boxes of his stuff. Again, just luck

Allright, im only still missing a canvas belt but i dont think ill need it with this look. The thread has been alot of help with locating the parts and finding ways to mod some parts!

I found a quicksilver army drab jacket for under 40$ I needed to add the metal buttons and dye it olive. What i did was get some brass snap on buttons and hammer them in place of the original plastic buttons. I used rit cocoa liquid dye to recolor it. JUST A TIP: only use 1/4 of the bottle on drab green. its very strong. You also want to only let it soak in the dye bath for 10 minutes.

To add the grey to the soles and the tongue i covered up the borders with painters tape for broadness and model magic for the fine edges. The spraypaint it used was Krylon "Dual" classic grey.

Because i live in tampa, and noone should wear 3 layers of cotton to a con, i had the longsleeves sewn on. I just took the sleeve from a black areo sweatshirt and pinned them to the seam of the t shirt's sleeve. be sure to take about 2" off the top half of the sleeves shoulder before sewing. I cut the thumb holes 1/2" from the ends and machine stitched the hole to stop any unfurling.

Heres all 3 parts finished:

One last detail i found necessary was finding some accutrate strap extensions. I found a neoprene neck strap for 3$ on Ebay. it came from china but the wait was just under 2 weeks:

All you have to do is rip them out and use some gorilla glue and black thread to hold down the loop they make in this photo

This close up was for the possible likeness, but i want you to see that i filed down some dollar store reading glasses to better match the Oliver Peoples he wears.

I've been trying to find a similar blue hoodie to the one used in the movie but they either have logos on them, American Eagle among others, or the strings are white and not blue, Old Navy. (Since the movie one is a blue hoodie with blue adjustment strings)
The closest I've found is this one:
