The Amazing Spiderman (Reboot) Costumes and Wardrobe

if someone attemps this they've got to post it here (the best thing i can think of is an ipod shuffle inside the shooter)

i'm guessing wireless as once peter's mask comes off he wouldnt worry about their being a wire hanging out of his costume (just an educated guess)

i imagine the head phones are built into the mask itself as a wireless
hey guys so i just bough an ASM 2 print which i plan to pufff paint after doing my daughters costume

i have more confidence with it however i cant find the metal applicator tips in the UK anyone know where i can get them i struggled to keep the webs consistent with my little girls suit and dont wanna mess up my ASM 2
i have been advised that jones tones 3d paint is actually stretchy paint used on gymnast costumes

i was thinking gloss deep red for the spider and gloss navy for the brick pattern 3-D GLOSS Paint
and im torn between metalic black 3-D METALLIC Paint for the webs and black puff (which i think is a deffinite for the spider as the spider is not shiny but the webs sort of are) 3-D PUFF Paint

opinions and thoughts guys :)

edit
looking at references shots i think that jones tones red pff is better for the back

btw anyone have any thoughts of a company that does custom made soles?

ok guys for the soles i,ve had an idea (i belive that sp1derman put this idea forawn a few pages or so back) anyway you may be familer with this style of shoe: New Mens Canvas Plimsolls Plim Flat Slip On Espadrilles Pump Trainers Shoes 6-12 | eBay

nothing to great i know but thier soles are usally a plain peice of rubber with a slighty rough grain, my idea is that if you used a belt sander (or not, they'ed still ork as well would just look a bit rough) and use a soldering iron to burn the web pattern into the soles (still all sp1derman's idea)

the only problem is that i can't seen to find any of these shoes with a black, plain sole. And hopefully this should make a screen accurate, and fairly cheap sole.

what do you think?

this was my initial thought the problem that occurs is you need a sole that is contorted to your foot certain plimsoles will work. the biggest issue is the soldering iron you will melt through the rubber so quick it wont stand a chance i thought a wood burner may do the trick the other idea is more costly but we make a mold of the pattern and fill it with hot rubber let it dry and pull it out then after having done this you put a shoes inside the costume and these rubber soles on the outside for some decent support of the foot (speaking from experience after 3 hours in my suit my asics killed :O) there are plenty of ways to make them it's just about finding the best way possibly speak to someone who is good at casting

ok cool, i also looked into finding someone who makes soles from scratch but nothing came up. anyone else find anything or happen to do any casting?

double post

hey guys on the topic of the shoes i just fought i'd go through some of the reference pictures i'd sved to get a good look at them :

here.jpg
this one had the best shot of the soles

anyway i zoomed in (i'm not sure if it's a trick of the light or not) but they look like they have a white wall :confused

could it be possible to use some pumps with white soles (for a more comfotable shoe, thanks sp1derman) and use some of those diy shoe soles:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mens-Through-Long-Rubber-Soles-1-pair-for-DIY-Shoe-Repairs-/110895027852?pt=UK_Clothing_ShoeCare_Shoe_Care_LE&hash=item19d1dbd68c and use a wood burner (thanks again) to burn a pattern into it but as you said a cast may be or is the best way. i know i'm going on about the soles but i'd love to make a relatively accurate spidy costume (with tom walkers wip, go check it out it's petty damn cool)

Hi guys, Im kinda new here, but i can say that the black metallic puff paint is a good call for the webs for an AMS2 suit, i bought the spider man second skin suit and modified it to look like the new suit and I think the black metallic paint works perfectly, but thats just me! :)

I started wondering about how in the film universe Spiderman mask is sewn to his suit but then they also show him able to take it off WHY? It would make.sense for him to have the mask zipper so the bad guys cant take it off (cops lizard in the first one) it would be funny as Hell if they tried to take it off and realized he couldn't lol but it would make sense to have the zip so he. can take it off but no1 else can

Hey Sp1derman,

What is the colour on your jacket like? 'Cause the old Cosplay Sky jacket used to be way too green, but now it looks like a more sort of brown. Was just wondering.

Can't wait for some pics :)

P.S: All that stuff you're doing for Cancer research is great. I feel proud to have a fellow RPF-er support something so close to my heart. Thank you.

my jacket was done in olive i sent 30 something reference shots so they could see the exact colour my jacket in person looks 100% accurate in colour and in most other ways.
and thanks in regards to the show it really gonna be something special if you're in the UK and you're interested in helping or taking part feel free to PM me Spider-man was my life when someone very close to me got diagnosed i crept back into my comics and it made things so much easier so i decided to bring him to life the show has moments directly from the comics and Spectacular Spider-Man show as well as ASM 1 & 2

Awesome! I will see what I can do about getting over, but may be a struggle as I'm in Somerset. I'll see what I can do :)
