That's what the egg thing looked like and I just cut it out to fit my lense and my mesh is aluminum which I got from amazon so I just pushed it into the lense and it took shape of it. I hope this helped

a long time ago i saw a joelai video when he used 3d glasses, are those what youre referring to? i really wanted a pair of those a while back.
