Hi everyone! First i'd like to start off by saying this is not going to be a 100% screen accurate costume but rather a costume that is made the way i imagine Peter Parker would have made it i.e. using simple yet effective methods.
(And by the way i am not very experienced on a sewing machine, so take it easy on my sewing skills
)
So obviously to start the costume i had to gather the materials. I found this blue stretch fabric with a raised brick pattern that looked pretty good (however now i wish i had gotten it in navy!) and for the red i am just using normal red lycra, my plans for the brick pattern on the red will be revealed shortly!

Here are the two fabrics i will be using...

...Once the materials were acquired, i began by taking my own measurements and then made templates for the blue sections...

...And the red sections...

...I then pinned the two colours of each piece together...

...They were then attached together with a stretchy zig zag stitch...

...The same was then done for the back...

...all the pieces were then attached together.
It has the traditional U zipper to get into the suit and a zip just below the belt to make bathroom trips easier (this will eventually be disguised as a web line
).
I decided to add some stitching around the crotch area to match the zip placement on the movie suit.
I then went on to attach the gloves.
There are quite a few join lines around the suit, many of which will be hidden by web lines, but like i said i am no expert in sewing so there may be a few visible seams when finished...
...Anyway this is how the suit stands at the moment...

...Still need to fix a few of the ruffles and creases, but as always please comment and enjoy!
