The Alteration Shop just (explicative) my brand new 9th Doctor Jacket

The Next Doctor

Disclaimer, This is gonna be a vile, horrid, hate filled rant so you have been warned.

Ok I just bought a new Wested 9th Doctor Jacket, and I had them leave extra material tucked in the sleeves just in case I needed to lengthen them.

Well I took it to an alterations store that was highly recommended to me, and instead of lengthening the sleeves, he shortened them.

I looked in the sleeves and he has removed all the extra leather, so he has maybe enough to get the sleeves back to original length.

So, basically, I just spent $350 dollars on a nice jacket, and a STUPID[edited] [edited] PIECE OF [edited] [edited] IT UP!!!!!!!

I am so angry and sick at my stomach about it. I guess I will be trying to sell another 9th Doctor Jacket now!!!!!

If not find a good lawyer and get your 350.00 back and warn people never to go to him as he obviously shouldn't be in business.

With my luck the lawyer will cost more than the Jacket.

I swear I think I am cursed when it comes to this jacket.

Looks hope that that taylor has...

(put on sunglasses)

...some tricks up his sleeve!

YEEEEAAAAAHHHHH!

But, seriously, I really hope they fix this for you. Good luck!

I'd like to give the tailor the benefit of the doubt...people do make mistakes. And it sounds like he's trying to make it right.

That being said, it isn't completely forgivable. I wouldn't use him again, and others should know about your experience in the form of a review in yelp and/or craigslist.

I'm sorry to hear this happened! Good luck!!

Well he [explicative] it up even more. I could have been blindfolded, hanging upside down, and crapped out a better looking repair job.

I am so pissed off and there really isn't much I can do, but buy another one.

I don't think it's the money he spent on the alteration, but the fact that the tailor just ruined his $350 jacket.

Best thing to do is discuss it calmly with him and go from there.

Ok, here is the most recent update from today.....

I basically gave the guy the my receipt from Wested and told him that was his bill. He could but the jacket from me and I would purchase a replacement.

He is supposed to have a check ready for me on Monday to pick up.

We will see.......

I hope this works out for you. As a man with particularly long arms myself this story makes me cringe.

I have to ask: When you first took the jacket in did he measure it with you wearing it or did just put it on counter and tell him to add two inches?
