Yes, we're planning to offer the pilot tunics as well.

Wahoo. Keep me on your 'interested' list. (If you have one)

Dare I ask...

What about Cage jackets?

Doable, once I find a suitable fabric.

:D

A friend made the Cage landing jackets out of car interior roofing fabric turned inside out. It had the perfect sheen to it and looked great. I'll see if I can round up pics.

Here's our shirt fabric, after custom dyeing, with insignia.

The color is a custom mix we came up with. Looks like a nice warm gold in warm lighting, yet seems to take on that uncanny greenish tinge in cool lighting.[/b]
That's beautiful, GM. :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

Adam did a run of Cage Jackets.

I forgot what they were made out of but it was something funky like Boat upholstery something or other. :lol

what happened to the avacado scan you had up on your page? (took it down i'll assume but was there a reason?)

I took it down because:

A. No one has ordered any in that color.

B. The color I came up with for the gold seems to take on that greenish cast in cool lighting anyway.

I was fortunate enough to pick up one of Jay's most excellent TOS shirts. While mine is a 3rd season green/yellow polyester wonder. I remember that he told me most fabric stores today carry cotton velour, BUT on Trek they used a low pile poly velour that is very hard to find now. AND the poly with the sparkles almost impossible.

Same for the pants, sparkly I mean. He had many samples of original fabric.

Unfortunately, Jay seems to be completely burned out on Trek stuff.

I've got a very nice Cage uni too. I'll see if I can snap some pic's

I've always heard the velour on TOS was synthetic, FWIW.

:)
[/b]

Then why did they shrink when they were washed?

No clue on that one, but I've always wondered the same thing myself. I've never heard of synthetic materials shrinking either, but it's a fact the velour tunics would shrink. You're right, I was just passing along what I'd heard.

Part of the problem is it's hard to tell what "inside info" is true anymore. I've about given up trying to reconcile of all the conflicting info I've read about the TOS uniforms over the years. :unsure

Here's the first one off the assembly line, shipping out tomorrow.

Note: This is a size 42, on a size 40 suit form.
