Bah, I doubt it. The ROTJ Vader saber even has different grips with a white material..inside. They're chipped, and you can see some other lighter color. Usually the T track used in the old films would just shatter being black plastic. Maybe they made molds so they'd never run out, who knows.

This film, however, I feel like they sourced them from some supplier....maybe parks *sigh*

They probably modeled it and then 3D printed the grips.

Sorry if this was already mentioned before, but I just found out that in the concept art Finn is carrying a Graflex ESB-style lightsaber!

Don't go spreading my rumor as if it were 'gospel' because I thought out loud in post#34 ... :lol

Now since J.J. loves going back to the previous OT films, props ... and sets ... I play devils advocate here : Is it possible they re-used just the bottom piece of the Ranch saber onto a new upper body? . . . Or is my Sherlock Holmes' mind of deduction just going a little bit overboard . . . and out of the box? :wacko

I'm sure the ranch saber is considered an "artifact" now and wouldn't be used for a new production. But what do I know?

Well it came today. Work could not have gone by ANY slower...

I am in LOVE with this thing. It's in such great condition.

I am 100% happy with my purchase.

The calc lens, t track count and D ring screws are all obviously incorrect but that will be resolved with Roy's ESB kit!

Can't wait.

Also, I too am on the fence about starting the conversion before seeing more of the saber.
